Greytop's Everything SCD! (Part 2)

Instead of introducing the eagerly awaited new batch of celebrity contestants, he launched into a furious attack on what he claimed was the misreporting of the ratings for last year's series.

While a small army of BBC executives looked on aghast - this was clearly not part of the official agenda - the visibly angry presenter handed out crib sheets he had personally prepared that showed ratings for the individual shows from the last series.

His message: the papers got it wrong when they said The X Factor had won the Saturday night ratings war. Strictly was the winner and anyone who said otherwise clearly 'hated' Brucie, for reasons unknown.

Tufnell: My God... what have I done?

CRICKETER Phil Tufnell seems to already be having second thoughts about Strictly Come Dancing - even though the show doesn't start for three weeks.
Writing on his Twitter page, Tuffers, 43, said 10/1 odds on him winning were unrealistic.

He moaned: "It should be at least 20. I have to wear high heels niiice. My God wot have I done? I'm bricking it, I'm going to need all the support I can get."

Phil also seemed unhappy at some of the outfits, adding: "Tangerine is so not my colour."

I'm a little confused

Why has the Greytop thread been closed and a part 2 started.

What happened?

The moderators probably think the thread's getting 'too big' and spliced it up, like they did to many 'appreciation' threads.

I think once a thread gets 'too full' they start splicing it..and with the new series starting they are preparing themselves I think!

They have split it because it got too long (a sign of how fab it is Greytop) they have added an admin note on the first post on this page so people can find the original if they havent read it all.

A lot of the longer threads got split earlier in the year.

Kenny Logan urges people to join his charity challenge

http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/new...2746-24556773/

....His new venture, Logan’s Challenge, will involve tasks that vary from running to walking and mind tests in lateral thinking, observation and logic.

Kenny is married to TV sports presenter Gabby Logan, who was brought up in Cannon Hill, Coventry, when her footballing father Terry Yorath played for the Sky Blues.

....The event will help generate vital funds for Sparks, a children’s medical research charity, of which he is the patron.

...“We’re hoping to get thousands of people to take part but the numbers entering have not been brilliant. You don’t have to be super fit. It’s a way of learning more about yourself and having a good time.

.....The games begin on Saturday October 3 at Coombe Abbey Park. To register log onto www.loganschallenge.com

This event is actually on in several cities and all for a good cause:
Newcastle, Coventry, London, Manchester and Glasgow

I agree. That said, this quote is quite an accurate one;

I don't really agree with that comment tbh.

I know of or at least recognise far more of the celebs this time than in any other series. - 9 out of 16 in fact!

Plus Joe and Martina are two of the biggest names (if not the biggest) the show has ever had take part, from the point of view of being world class standard in their worlds.

I don't watch the soaps, so unless they are in EE or Corrie (whose actors are everywhere!), I'm not likely to know them. I do casually follow sport though, so I know all of the 'sports' celebs.

The pros who have been on SCD for years now are as well known these days as many of the celebs and that's because they too are now celebs, courtesy of the 6 previous series of SCD. In the same way the judges are now celebs as well - I only knew Arlene before the show started.

IMHO it is a sign of how successful SCD is, rather than a a negative thing. How many of the celebs on SCD would love the chance of being on a prime time weekend TV show for 6 years!

I'm backing Loose Women pal Lynda Bellingham for Strictly win

I'm going to be rooting for my Loose Women pal Lynda Bellingham to go all the way in this year's Strictly Come Dancing. And I'm damn sure she'll show all those telly bosses that, just like Arlene, you can still be oh-so-sexy at 60. By Coleen Nolan

Strictly's Natalie Cassidy: Losing 4st made me miserable

She shed four stone, dropped four dress sizes and transformed herself from a frumpy soap character into a lithe, stylish young woman.

Then former EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy made a fitness DVD which became the fastest-selling exercise programme ever with 200,000 sales.

And that, she says, was her big mistake.

In an exclusive interview with the Sunday Mirror, the Strictly Come Dancing star tells how it brought her nothing but misery...and left her obsessed with the need to stay thin.

Joe Calzaghe and his flamboyant partner Kristina are setting tongues wagging

She has a reputation for charming her leading men on Strictly Come Dancing, as well as teaching them to mambo.
Now Siberian-born dancer Kristina Rihanoff appears to be working her magic on Joe Calzaghe, Britain’s undefeated middleweight boxing champion.

The 37-year-old sportsman, who has signed up to star in the seventh series of the BBC show, has already got in some dance practice with his glamorous partner and the couple have been getting along famously, according to sources on the programme.

I wonder how typical that is, though. I recognise only two -- Matrina Hingis and Natalie Cassidy -- and I can't stand Natalie Cassidy. I think it's a very poor lineup.
