Love the new idents!

Set looks alright to me, a bit better than 'the office'. A bit of an 80s look however!

Better that it's an hour now.

Shame about the Robinson though.

They've slapped the fake film effect on it. It looks awful.

No. Replace the word 'bit' with 'lot'.

They've got that godawful 'filmic' look on it. It's what ruined soaps such as Neighbours, Holby City, Casualty and The Bill (although the scripts also ruined those)

I stopped watching the Gadget Show as (a) that had gone downhill and (b) it used the filmic look.

Now with Watchdog stupidly dumping Nicky Campbell and Julia Bradbury, yet KEEPING the annoying and incompetent Anita Rani, and then mixing it in with Rogue Traders AND extending it to an hour... it's a show that looks like it's having the last throw of the dice...

Oh, and Anne Robinson has had her day. She should not have been brought back.

The quality of the studio shots is very poor - either that or they've given it that 'film effect' that drives everyone mad!

NOOOOOOOO!

They're using that crappy 'filmic' effect. I've just about accepted this effect on drama shot on video, but not on 'factual' TV. What next? Soft focus Heuw Edwards?

Have the BBC finally resorted to YouTube quality video?

And as someone earlier said, what a tragic set, someone needs to tell them that brick look wallpaper went out in the seventies...

Dear Watchdog,
I have a serious complaint about a TV show...

I've logged on to here just to see if anyone else has noticed the way this is filmed. I hate it, I want to see them live in the studio. This looks like we are watching a video recording.

They have, although it looks different from the normal filmic look. Still awful PQ though.

And in one fell swoop have lost a lot more of the (little) credibility the programme still had - treating it like a drama/entertainment prog. Idiots.

This crappy, cheap excuse for factual TV won't last long in prime time. Just noticed it's on for an hour! Heavens to betsy has BBC1 really got this bad?

Do we really need the dramatic music as someone walks down the stairs. In fact do we really even need someone walking on at all, just pan to them.

This reminds me of an Emma Forbes show from the 90s, a teenage debate show, can't remember what it was called. I'm surprised we haven't got people sitting on scaffold swinging their trainers clad feet.

Too 'hip' for it's purpose.

That's like when some entertainment shows have a guest on and show a trailer of their latest film. They could get a decent quality clip from the studio, but increasingly they get a Youtube-quality clip instead. Clearly the producers think it's 'trendy' but it just looks shoddy.

Maybe it's part of Anne's contract that they can't show here in sharp focus, she looked pretty ropey on The One Show.

Why do we need the bored-looking people up on the balcony - ridiculous.
