thats sounds good mike....so he is sub letting to you.....is it soley for your uses or are there other horses stabled there too.....lucky farmer inheriting the poo......

Something else happened at work today...major HR b@lls up...not nice

There was supposed to be a session yesterday when up to 20 people were let known if they had a job or not.

For reasons I've yet to discover, the meetings were put back a day til today....didn't half make the victims sweat...and not in a nice way either

A good friend of mine and an old boss had her meeting put back an hour again....she logged in do some last minute housekeeping and found her email account gone.

Obviously the HR dept hadn't been told of the delay

It's a multi occupancy set of stables. Some have 3 horses

what a shabby way to teat people then expect loyalty from others.....i take it from that she was one who was to go but they preempted the interviews....thats bad...
are you still unsure as to your job....it is bad times we are living in now isnt it....

I think she'd resigned herself to going. She always came across as a tad harsh but this week she was in tatters.

My last boss....who was in a sense deposed by my new boss was also all over the show...his email account still looks live so maybe he's got something else...but there again

Next round is my level.....so who knows....but the last lot wer on personal contract and I'm collective bargained....so some solace from that

The downer is that someone has been appointed under my new boss on a similair role title to me

why are they appointing if they are making redundancies...

i hate the way people play with feelings and have no consideration for families and circumstances....then there are the huge bonuses as well and the expensive company cars...all these things can be foregone and use the money more cost effectively..or am i too simplistic here...

At each tier the numbers get reduced. Each tier is open season...but ring fenced to those at that grade....like musical chairs

They're tightening up on everything cash as well. Mobile phone use on a strict needs basis as an example.

Normally people who leave get a half decent send off.Srict new policy means that some didn't even get the luxury of finger rolls. My ex boss (who lost her email above), apparently just ran out of the building in tears..........gone

is it a wheat from chaff siruation....ken had to do this earlier in the year...he let 3 go...he didnt want to but had to...he had many sleepless nights worryong about it all...i think he chose the right ones to be honest and i think they know it as well.....they have either retired/decided not to work or found other jobs...so all was well...but it was a rotten time....
read your last bit^^^^...thats so sad for her...how undignified...it wont help her self esteem at all will it...at least with a bit of a send off it is a way of saying goodbye and closure on the job....
