Sadly yes it will probably be a big hit but it really shouldnt be in my opinion.
Sounds like a third rate Ian Brown rip off to me.

Hey, you´re right! It sounds really similar (F.E.A.R.).
But who produced it as first one ?

Like a lot of Robbie's other stuff, it's far too overblown.

I think he is very special human, powered with his own extrem personality. I like the album titel "Reality killed the video star". I think he`s on the best way to get a bit calm.

The former Take That star said that he had not expected the reception the record has received.

Williams said: "This week's gone so well, way beyond anything I had imagined. Germany was great and Paris was a treat.

yep, so much for the hate the song seems to get on these boards. or maybe it's just been well-received in Germany and France! i'm sure there are many who love the song even if many on here don't, we'll soon find out when it's released

personally i think it's great. i liked it on first play but it did take many plays for me to really get into it. i listened to it about 10 times the day it was premiered to try and really take everything in.

Is there a big announcement on Radio 1 tomorrow about Robbie? I've heard there is, but can't find any other info about it...?

EDIT - Never mind, I've found out it's during the Chris Moyles show. Guessing it's a tour announcement maybe.

I know I'm not the person you were asking but...

1. Catchy tune with uplifting chorus
2. Unusual sounding
3. Many different elements to it - a mixture of styles, from the electro riff in the verse to the gospel choir at the end
4. Great Trevor Horn production (even if the bass is maybe a little overdone IMO)
5. Interesting, clever lyrics eg. "God save me rejection from my reflection, I want perfection"
6. The fact that the gospel choir is singing "Jesus didn't die for you"

I think the song is about the difference between the idealism and fantasy of religion compared with reality and the true nature and desires of us as humans.

No mention of the "big announcement" on Radio 1 yet... how disappointing

EDIT - No tour announcement, he's going to be at the BBC Electric Proms next month.

Ooh I'm considering going to the Robbie gig. For those of you who haven't seen him live before you really must. It's what he does best and he does it much better than most artists. Reviewed the single here.

"my way" live is so touching I can´t describe. Please have a view...
http://loom.tv/channel.php?c=20250

Yes, there were times, Im sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.

It's an improvement on his last album, but I'm not really that keen. The verse and chorus don't seem to go together.
