Probably very obvious, but just incase you didn't know ITV HD is listed in an the audio folder labled 'Unknown" showing as a radio channel ? (10510)

It won't appear as a video channel until you add the video pid (3401) and change it's video type to H.264 using the channel editor.

The settings that demotic posted above should work fine. Good Luck, let us know how you get on AndyV.

Remember it's 10510 you're looking for, NOT ITV HD which doesn't exist as a label.

And of course change the name 10510 to ITV HD in the channel editor.
The unfortunate thing is that if you rescan you probably need to reset the settings.

If you create your own channel groups (ie Freesat, Freeview etc), move them to the top of the list then drag the channels you use in there (in the order you want) they won't be touched during channel scans.

I've got ITV HD running on Windows 7 with DVBViewer v4.2.1.0 but there's no sound (other channels are fine).

I've checked the channel is defined as above and can't see any differences.

Is there anywhere else I need to check? Settings -> Options?

TIA

I still can't get anything, wondering if it may be an LNB fault. What picture/signal do you get when there is no programme being transmitted? As I can't always fault find during the limited tranmission times

You should be getting placeholder 'video' (ITV HD logo) even when it's not broadcasting anything.

If you turn on the status bar in DVBViewer, and then look at the bottom of the window, does it list a video resolution and audio format?

If it does, but you're not seeing anything, it sounds like decoder or video renderer settings aren't correct. If there is nothing, it could be that the Video PID and/or Audio PID aren't set correctly.

Thanks, I get 0% signal (rather than the normal 94%) and no stream information. I'll have to do more investigation.

I've conected the PC to a old dish that we don't use and get the ITV HD logo, so guess it an alignment or LNB problem! Thanks for the help.

I have exactly the same problem - been watching ITV HD since launch via DVBViewer and Windows XP, and Windows 7 RC, but since upgrade to Windows 7 Professional I get no sound on ITV HD.

Settings all look OK as in demotics post above.

Any advice?

john

In DVBViewer, go to Settings -> Options -> DirectX -> Audio -> Audio A.

What do you have selected as "AC3 Audio Decoder"? You may need to install a free decoder such as AC3Filter or ffdshow because a lot of vendors are now locking their decoders to their own products.

'System default' is selected. 'Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio Decoder' available but does not make any difference.

I have now downloaded AC3Filter 1.63b and all is good

Thanks!

Can you tell me, is there any way of storing ITV HD on Sky+HD box?

So long as you have the new EPG then:

ITV HD on Sky:

TV Guide / Left Left / Options
down / Left x 4 / Add Channels

11.424 / H / 27.5 / 2/3 Yellow
Select 10510 *Yellow Select
