Corrie: "Romanian Holiday" DVD - Soaps

This was plugged over the end credits tonight and is being released in a few weeks' time. Seems to be about the Romanian jaunt mentioned by Roy and Hayley tonight.

But where's this storyline come from all of a sudden? I think Roy said something about going to "Frankie's wedding"? Who? Not Frankie Baldwin?

yeah its frankie baldwin but i don,t think she on the dvd.

Dreadful and shameless idea for a quick "cash-in" ...I thought it strange when Hayley mentioned her "upcoming trip to Romania" out of the blue ...little did I know it was just a plug for the DVD. Awful product placement.

I borrowed a copy from the next door neighbour and watched it last night. It was quite funny actually. Better than I expected it to be.

I think making this 'spin off' was a ridiculous waste of money. The amount it would have cost to script, transport actors, crew, equipment, film on overseas location, edit, produce and release on DVD is NEVER going to be recouped. They'll be giving it away free on magazines. Shame on whoevers daft idea that was.
