Disappointment Over Misconstruals

This evening, whilst in another room I overheard a comment from the television which said, “Beth starts by dipping her hot raspberries in liquere”.

I eagerly dashed in to see what was going on - stepping on the cat's tail and bashing my shoulder on the door frame in the process - and to my utter disappointment it was a bloody cookery programme.

Has a misconstrual ever resulted in your disappointment?

My O/H was very disappointed that the programme Fear of Fanny was about cookery -

Maybe there's just something about cookery that inspires innuendo

Now if you were to say that to me prior to serving them I'd insist on putting my own gravy in them.

Cooking = Sex.

That's the only way to explain why Giada De Laurentiis' cleavage is the most prominent item in Everyday Italian.

We get Anthony Worrall-Thompson and the Italians get that charming young lady.

Nice.

Nice.
She may have been born in Rome, but her show is American.

Actually, I'm not sure why out of all the cooking shows the UK could import, they choose Barefoot Contessa over Everyday Italian.

I'm in catering and a delivery man arrived at my kitchen window the other day and declared 'lovely pair of melons' to me.
As there was 2 melons sitting on the window ledge getting ripe at the time, unfortunately, I didn't get overly excited.

I'm slightly shocked that your lives are such Carry On Films that you assume the euphemism before the literal.
