I always liked Ghostbusters 2.It's inferior to the original and more or less follows the exact same formula, but it's very entertaining.

Here are some awful follow-up movies:
  • Hellraiser 4
  • Candyman 3
  • Home Alone 4
  • Jaws:The Revenge
  • The Fly 2
  • Speed 2
  • Hills Have Eyes 2 (original)
  • The Omen 4
  • Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
  • Weekend at Bernies 2
  • Grease 2

Both Matrix sequels, I think they managed to ruin the first!

They are great movies

IMHO Jaws 2+ was a bit crappy

There have been some movies where the 2nd is a classic (Terminator 2 and Aliens )

Jaws 2. Despite the presence of good ol' Roy Scheider, it was terrible. There's no blood!

Transporter 2. The first had its moments, the second had none.

Matrix: Reloaded & Revolutions. They should've left it at just one rather good film. But noooooo....

Star Trek V - Indulgent cobblers.

Well, it was never going to be good. Wrong Turn itself was awful.

I'd have said Candyman 2. It threw away most of what was good about the first film, and added some silly bloodline stuff that doesn't belong. In addition, it had some terrible cinematography. Next time you watch it, try to count the "mirror shots".

It's all the more painful because Candyman 1 is one of my favourite horror films.

Probably all of the Nightmare on Elm Street sequels when compared to the first film.

Also Robocop 2, which completely forgot about all the ingredients that made the original the revered classic that it is today.
