I have been watching SKy2 this morning, Real A&E and I keep seeing a teaser screen saying SKY2 HD

Does this mean we are getting SKY2 HD?????

Surely Sky1 HD+1 comes first?

(One day, I will regret saying that!)

Plus the 28,000 HD quiz channels!

I took a quick snap shop of the screen.
I'm not sure how to put pictures up so I'll give you a link instead.

yay for new hd channels but surely there must be a lot more deserving channels due for an hd upgrade first?!

I for one think it would be a great addition, if one forgets to record something on Sky One HD, or the recording failed it will be great to be able to record it on Sky Two HD.

Sky Movies Indie HD launches on 26th October. Perhaps Sky2 HD will launch on the same day?

I guess it will get EPG number 215. Unless Sky buys the 'My Channel' (171) EPG slot...

EPG position 182 is available now too as 3e was moved to 105 this morning on the Irish EPG.

Call me a cynic, but I wonder if this is Sky's bargaining tool to get Living HD

I've been thinking about this for a few days now, but what!?

How would Sky2 HD put Sky in a better position to get Living HD?

What about Sky1 HD, Movies, Sports, Arts?

All of those have far more bargaining potential than Sky 2 HD.

You are not wrong Dave.
But who knows what Sky's objective's really are
If Sky2 HD is to launch it has flown under the radars.

I read it as Sky want Living HD but wouldn't be prepared to use Sky1 HD as a bargaining tool because they want to keep the first showings of HD programs for themselves. However using Sky2 HD as a bargaining tool would mean they would keep first showings (if only for the day between it being shown on Sky1 HD!) but still have something to offer.

It's odd that nothing transpired after the teasers they aired.

Is it possible that the launch of "Sky Indie HD" slowed the plans (either due to Transponder or EPG space)?
