Official Friday Night Lights Season 4 Thread (US Directv Pace)

october 28th...........it returns

for those who dont know FNL is THE best show on tv and returns for its 4th 13 episode season on directv

"there are 2 types of people, those who love FNL and those who have never seen it" - kyle chandler (coach taylor)

that quote sums it up,its impossible to watch this show and not love it!

first 3 seasons on dvd are quite cheap, worth catching up if you havnt seen any fnl

i know 1 or 2 DS posters are fellow panthers but this thread may still bomb lol

any fans out there? how do you think this season will pan out? great storlyine in place with dillon panthers vs dillon lions!

I think you probably already know that I'll definitely be watching.

FNL is such an underrated show. It's a shame that it doesn't get a better audience, but to be fair, it's done extremely well to get a fourth and fifth season. Not many shows have been given the kind of second chance that FNL has. Thank god for DirecTV!

I've got the first season on DVD, but I'm really hoping that Seasons 2 and 3 eventually make it to R2. If they don't within the next six months then I'll probably just pick up the R1 sets instead.

I'll be watching. it is a fantastic show. i was prepared for it to be axed. but no we get another 2 seasons which is amazing. hopefully it'll go on after that. I wonder what actors will be in it though? Most people left Dillion for college last season.

one of the best soundtracks to any tv show outthere

i got the explosions in the sky album because i love the backgroud music so much

#33 riggins is around because he decided nt to go uni

i guess lyla and sarcasan(QB#1 always!) will probably have 4 episode arcs like smash and street had last year

i dont mind characters going out if its written so well like it was last year

i think i will switch my allegience to the lions lol, underdog story and who can side against coach????

also tami taylor-best MILF of all time?

My understanding is that Lyla and Tyra are gone, Riggins and Saracen will remain in semi-recurring roles and that Julie and Landry are the only two remaining original full time cast members from the kids cast (as they are the only two still at school).

no more Adrianne Palicki

I'm holding off for now.

Sick of waiting for R2 DVD releases for Seasons 2 and 3 so I've bought seasons 2 and 3 on R1 instead. Typically the S3 set has turned up first so I'm waiting for the season 2 set to arrive and rewatching season 1 in the meantime.

Full rewatch and then into season 4.

Just started series 1. I missed it the first time around and was actually a little surprised to find out it was still on the air. I think it's been moved around quite a bit.

So far, it's excellent has lived up to the hype given by my friends / family. Excellent storytelling and (as I'm a native Texan and know the difference) spot on accents and writing.

I have a new obsession. Yay!

Its stupid how little amount of people watch this. It is great.

Anyone seen ep 2? Great episode once again, Saracen's story arc is a bit slow and crap, He's in as a guest character, So i hope he just 'goes away' on some kind of art thing for half the episodes then appears in the last few episodes for a really good story.

The Lions are getting a good couple of players now, and what did coach ask Riggins to help with?

As with the FNL viewership in the States, it's not the quantity, but quality, of people that follow it that counts!

i agree sarcans story isnt level of smahs or streets yet but im still enjoying it as its sad to see how sarcacens decision in s3 finale has effected his life, makes me cringe to see him delivering panther pizzas lol, i want him to get his art career dammit!

not sure how riggins would hep, perhaps a coach?

I LOVE luke already, hes such a nice boy! i celebrated his trade like i would a new signing for my football team lol,now they have an awesome running back(or is that 2 including vince) or maybe i got it wrong,is luke a WR(catcher)?

but anyway the lions should hopefully improve now and i just cant imagine a better scanrio than east vs west we got right now

think landy is gonna have some latino love also, although i miss tyra and felt her and landry getting back to gether in 3.12 was just amazing scene, hope they mention her

LOVING IT

anyone seen eps 3?

not sure why coach was giving luke a hardtime,he seemed so respectfull in episode 2,didnt look like he needed the cruel to be kind approcach, but looks like hes gonna work hard for the lions from now on anyway

vince is talking more! looks like a bust up on the way though

landry and tim are chick magnets!
