Another thread inspired me!!

I'd like to nominate 'No Country For Old Men' - excellent film, ending was a total let down!!

There must lots of others that were great films with bad endings??

"I Am Legend" springs to mind when anyone mentions decent movie, but crap ending.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

loved it up to the

ridiculous alien part

Could of done a lot more with the Cloverfield ending dont get me wrong i liked it but i think they could of done alot more with it.

'This is England' - Great movie, but a pretty crappy ending.

The ending was abrupt, rushed, and did not leave the viewer with any real sense of closure.

Yes that was bizarre. It was a great army training camp comedy and then it turns into some sort of weird romance film. What the hell was going on there?

Yep! That particular offender most definitely gets my vote. Quite possibly the worst "twist" ending I've ever seen, with a plot hole so immense you could pilot an Airbus through it.

Million Dollar Baby. The entire final act is abysmal, it would've been a far better film if it had finished after the big twist.

Yes, this was my first thought on seeing the thread title too. I sat through the dross of the first hour and a half praying it would improve, then out came the

to wreck any merit the film had. (Anyone else spotting a theme here?)

Others: High Fidelity, which I love, but works better in the book where Rob doesn't get back together with her - it just makes more sense, and the reunion after the funeral is an oddly dark twist to the film.

Wall-E - after painting a wonderful dystopia, the cave painted-ending is just too easy. Sequel, anyone?

The ending to Color of Money was very much an anti-climax.But perhaps it was the only possible ending they could do.

I thought the ending to Jeepers Creepers was a letdown.

I'd also say Saw V,mainly because they hyped it up so much as a huge twist ending,but it was fairly obvious...

Totally agree with you on that, i loved it up until that moment and then it became a film that you simply cannot watch again because the reward at the end is lost.

I doubt anyone would say that August Rush is a good film, its more one of those that you watch because you don't have to put much thought into it, but the ending is pathetic! It's completely stupid as to how both of them at the end "just know", i liked it up until then but it just got more ludicrous as it went on.

I have to confess to disliking both of those films immensly so didn't even notice how "bad" the endings were

Have to disagree there, I thought the ending of The Mist was pretty fantastic. He loses all hope, kills his family, just as rescue comes. Amazing.

Knowing gets my vote. I was in the cinema in a state of 'a good Nicholas Cage film, what's going on?', and then out came the f*cking aliens.
