Good news. I'm slowly coming round to the sequel. Having intially been somewhat peeved about it. there are a lot of enhancements, and the user made content for the first game will easily keep me gong until i decide to buy it.

I can play it on October 27th seeing as I've already bought it on Steam for £20 I might add.

Did you share a 4 pack with 3 of you friends as the single price is £26.99?

Yeah, I did. My mate bought the 4 pack and we just paid him £20 upfront. We may do the same with Borderlands.

So who's played the demo then?

It's awesome. Melee weapons really add to it- it's really fun smacking zombies in the face with a guitar- and the new Special Infected are pretty damn cool. You get two levels of one of the campaigns, The Parish. New Orleans looks to make a pretty good location so far...

The demo is great but there does seem to be more hoards of infected then L4D. I also like the new infected and bashing them with a frying pan is great

d/loaded it last night and spent a few hours playing it in the wee hours of the morning.
Its good, new infected are ace, especially the jocky lol, the melee weapons are good
But
to me they are still charging full price for an expansion, its not a major step up, and looks like and feels like an add on and that still grates a bit but saying that i will still end up buying it because the core game is so bloody great

I'm waiting for the discount to increase to over 30% before I buy as I'm saving my budget for BioShock2 next year and also waiting for CoD to drop in price.

The sequel is going to be a smash =- melee weapons, more special infected and more campaign options. Loved the first game but was waaaaay too short. Although people have complained this is more an add-on than a true sequel, I think it's great they've kept the feel of the game and not tried anything too revolutionary! Why change something that works so well, eh? http://megabits-of-gaming.blogspot.c...-4-dead-2.html
