DS Factor 5 Official Thread! - The X Factor

Hello everyone!

Some of you may remember me from last year's contest where I was judge and industry mentor for the DSXF4 contestants.

I have worked in the music industry now for 4 years, and now this year, I am your humble host!

We will be starting the show as soon as possible, but for that to happen, I will need the following:

1) Auditions. Some of you have already recorded these, some of you havent. If you would like to be a part of this talent contest, please record an audition of you singing any song of your choice, and PM it to me as soon as you can. Once we have 10 successful applicants, we will move on to the first show.

2) Judges. Ideally, I would like 3 judges. or 2 permanent judges and a guest judge weekly. Again, if you'd like to get involved, please, send me a PM.

3) Enthusiasm! The X Factor is the biggest show on Television, and although we are not on the real TV, we still have some talented people, working really hard to take part in this contest, and they need fans! They need listeners! So please, give them support!

The first week's show theme is going to be "Hits of 2009" So, can anyone entering begin thinking about their first song choice? If anyone needs suggestions, I am here, and so will the mentors be when they have been chosen!

There is no physical prize. The winner's winning single is created into a downloadable mp3, and distributed on the forums. It's for fun buddy, not for money or anything

Im not sure whether to audition again or not as for the past week my laptop and internet connection have been playing up. I feel like im on dialup! I did have loads of songs ready recorded though for the competition before hand.

Oh, someone's taking over.

How many submissions have you had? What's the timetable going to be like? Are the people who were already taking part automatically entered?

I'm not sure whether to do it again seeing as the last two attempts went down in flames.

Basically, once we have enough entrants we will have our first show, it will be weekly, with a different theme each week. Everyone previously entered will be auto accepted this time, as long as they send me their audition.

Go ahead and enter!

It's all for fun, and nobody is going to be rude!
