'The Apprentice USA' starting Oct 26th,late on BBC1.

Just browsing through the Sky EPG and this is listed as starting next Monday at 11.20pm on BBC1, (a bit later in Scotland, Wales and NI). A 15 part series, but why didn't they show a series last year?

It seems to be 'double bills' for at least the first 2 weeks.

Oddly the two episodes 'Lets Get physical' and 'Theres no I in Team' seem to repeat across the whole week in that graveyard slot.

Am thrilled though, something fun to watch
S4 is the best, what with the
spoiler:
quadruple firing
that just comes out of the blue.

Although, :
spoiler:
It had to happen as there were about 3 more contestants on the show compared to the number of episodes shown. IE around 18 people across 15 episodes.

Are you saying the one's that's gonna be shown tomorrow (26.10.09 - Monday), is from a few years ago?

What's the point of that?

No, up until a few years ago they were showing them, but stopped at the end of season 3. This time they are starting 'where they left off' at the start of season 4.

Thanks, Garsty. So what year did Season 4 take place in?

Cheers, sveknu.

And was there a reason why the Beeb decided to stop at Season 3 (until now)?

Never seen the US version of this before. Does Trump always slowly shout at us like we're in an old folks home when he does the voice over?

Markus is the biggest waste of space I have seen on the Apprentice USA or UK for a long time - comedy though!

It’s so he can show us his teeth. They cost a lot after all.

Shame Melissa went - she was good TV.

Obviously Trump goes for talent not ratings.

The presentation of the show seems to be less "idiotised" than previous series. The loss of 15 minutes for the adbreaks does hurt it though as you lose the detail we have on the BBC.

I prefer the US Apprentice to the UK version. Its much more fun. And Donald Trump - I don't know what it is but I just burst out laughing everytime he appears on screen. Perhaps its the bizzare combover?

Donalds got a great TV presence though, not like that old sexist, class warrior. Mr misery guts himself "SIR" Alan Suger.

I've just caught up with the first ep. I thought project leader would go. She made some really bad judgement errors on the task, especially the XXX thing and apparently not making much effort to sell inside the gym. Her argument that Melissa's negativity is what cost them the 2% they lost by, wasn't very strong.

Then she only brought one other person back to the boardroom with her. That's usually a mistake. Her job is to identify the two weakest, and if she can only identify one she's not doing it. She's also reducing Trump's options, which he usually doesn't like. Although both had made mistakes, the very fact that those two candidates had high profiles could be reason for Trump to keep them and fire someone else. As it was I expected him to fire the PM, make Melissa leader for the next task, then fire her next time if she couldn't turn it around.

Then the final boardroom and Melissa opened her mouth. Oh well. She said she couldn't work with women - that was fatal. Claiming the other women were intimidated by her beauty was rather silly since, in my opinion, both the other women in the room were better looking than her.

Whoever said Melissa talked too much and didn't listen, pretty much nailed it. She would be one to watch.

It was hilarious when the losing team captain only took him into the boardroom. He must have thought "There's no way Trump will fire me over him"
