UGG Boots Appreciation: Thread for guys and girls pay compliment to their Uggs

Everyone on here knows how much I love my Uggs and with the Winter now here it's time to show appreciation to those sheepskin boots that keep your feet snug in the winter.

I finally invested in a proper pair of official Uggs the other day (been wearing cheap Topman ones for the last year) and got these:

Show your appreciation today!

Hate the things. I have no wish to make my legs look like that of a rugby player. High heels are there for a reason.

And maybe I'm living a sheltered life 'up north' but I have never encountered a man in a pair of Ugg boots and I'm not sure I want to!!

Oh wait, this was an appreciation thread........whoops

My gran used to wear boots like them once it got a bit cold. She was the talk of the post office.

Not because of her boots, mind. Rather because she swore like a sailor.

The boots were not unusual. I think all the old ladies had furry boots. IIRC the old dears must have had the luxury versions of those linked in the OP as they were resplendent with gold zips down the side.

However you linking these boots reminds me of my long passed gran. So I award them several points.

May god bless all those who shuffle about in them.

My daughter and all her friends wear them. As someone has previously commented, it makes them look like extras from Sean of the Dead, the way they shuffle along. Where's my cricket bat?

Given that you contribute to many Ugg boots thread and even told us you ran a charity race while wearing them, I'd say there's a bit of a fetish going on here.

I was only joking about the charity run as said in a previous thread.

Do you own some then.

Nope, I don't own a pair, but I do like women who wear them with black tights and demin mini skirts. It's the uniform of choice for girls at Esher College and the ladies of Richmond Upon Thames.

Uggies - as every Aussie knows - are for slobbing around at home on cool winter evenings with track suit pants (trakkies).

No self-respecting Aussie would dare to be seen wearing them in public.

Bit like going out in your pajamas.

That's only the cheap primark/newlook/clairs ones though, the Ugg Australia boots don't sink at the sides causing you to shuffle.

Hmm I live near Richmond & wouldn't dream of wearing Uggs with black tights or otherwise... they look ridiculous...

I don't like them either. It's especially not a good look if you wear them so often and walk so badly they crumple inwards at the sole so you look like you're walking on the actual side of the boot

Only if you buy fake ones, my ones from topman did that before I bought a proper pair.

That does appear to be true, in my limited survey of 13 yr old girls with them. I've had about 10 pairs lined up in the porch sometimes, you can spot the real ones instantly. They all do the zombie shuffle though

Actually - there is no such thing a fake Uggs - just like there is no such thing a fake slippers.

Ugg Boot is a generic Aussie term for boots made out of sheepskin.

Some American smart ar*se however, registered the name in the US. Aussie ugg manufacturers fought the battle in court - but lost unfortunately.

There are many brands of sheepskin boots marketed as ugg boots.

Some are better quality that others of course.
