7 Days On The Breadline

Am I the only one watching? Looks quite interesting this. Some woman single parent with six kids! All in Leeds.

According to the programme, 1 in every 5 households in the UK is in poverty.

It's quite shocking when you see the shots of the community, the kids playing, etc. It's like some kind of Victorian inner city photograph brought to life!

We're watching as well. Those lads from the last family look as though they've tidied up their room for Austin's arrival!

A strange set up, the ex- husband as a carer for his ex- wife.

Have they said what the people going away are going to be doing, it's not a complete swap is it?

I'm watching too, so far quite interesting. I didn't realise it was all set in Leeds, just thought Mel B's bit was in Leeds because that is where she is from.

Ye gods this is quite scary how some people live.

I am really feeling for Keith Allen with this family he is with. How on earth can anyone live when one of the kids has to sleep in the living room..

It's like laughing at the people in lunatic asylums which was a popular pastime in Victorian times.
And we call ourselves 'civilised'...........

Clearly none of them use Digital Spy, though, as I don't think anyone here ever heard of this happening. Would you keep it all to yourself?

How searing for the DS uppers.

It seems none of them know who the celeberities are, well apart from the lad asking if Keith Allen was Lilly Allens dad..

I see that there are a few smoking fags and there are dog to feed. It nice to see what people spend their benifits on.

I dont particularly like poverty as entertainment - but I am curious to see how this is all going to turn out.

I'm sorry as I don't really know that woman's situation, but there is no excuse for dirt like that in her kitchen or anywhere else.

It doesn't cost much except elbow grease to keep it clean and so much more hygienic for her kids.

It's not poverty as entertainment. This is no different to the kind of thing World In Action would have done, once upon a time. It's a cricism of the government and bring it on, I say. Shocking that communities are left to fester like this.
