IMO they should have used a more generic name like CBS Life for one of these channels as the choices would seem to exclude inclusion of any of CBS's comedy catalogue.

I'm most looking forward to seeing what old classics they'll be showing. Mind you, I won't be completely happy until Granada Plus comes back to our screens.

I really hope CBS reverse the policy of no black and white/pre 1970s content that Zone seems to have had as CBS have an excellent archive of content from the that era- I mention some in my post here (see also official catalogue of CBS TV distribution).

So I'm assuming this is a Freesat channel then?

It will be nice to get some free to view Star Trek for a change. Also some great shows from yesteryear...Police Squad, Taxi, Happy Days and Twilight Zone to name but a few.

I think new david letterman will be on one of these channels... Surely they wouldnt show repeats of a topical talk show.

Letterman is already sold to other European countries, I would be surprised if they show it FTA on a pan-European satellite.

On the existing Zone Thriller it's all old stuff but as I've not seen most of it it's new to me so I don't mind. The main problem is that I mostly don't have the time to watch it.

Still, I'd have no objection to some fairly new stuff.

If they really are showing Star Trek, that concept has been thrown out of the window.

I would expect the channel content to change gradually. If I was in charge this is what I would do.

Any series which are currently airing would run until the end of the series.

Series which only have one season and which get repeated periodically (e.g., Queen of Swords, Adventure Inc, The Client on Zone Thriller) would not be shown again unless demanded by viewers (maybe they could be shunted to the early hours or something).

As existing series come to an end introduce new CBS content.

One complication is that there are some series which show several seasons concurrently, e.g., The Pretender. Here I would probably just drop one or two of them straight away to make way for new content (or else shunt them to the early hours).

Finally, I would conduct a consumer survey re: what content viewers would like to see from the CBS catalogue.

i do hope they keep the horror channel and improve it keep the reality programs and improve it add more action programs because zone reality and horror /thriller are some off the best channels on freesat.

Again i would image they are not final listings as we know they have Jerry Springer and Judge Judy which are nowhere to be seen.

I wouldn't expect them to do a wholesale change on day one!

However, it looks like there are several new (albeit similar) shows there. Models Inc and Judging Amy are new aren't they?

Models Inc. was a spin off from Melrose Place. 1994, cancelled after one season. Sky1 showed it.

Judging Amy was more successful. Six seasons from 1999. I think Living or Hallmark showed it.
