Doc Martin (Part 4 - Spoilers)

Now come on and admit it, you Brits just make this stuff up as you go along, right!? Something like this, for instance: "Blimey, I was really cheesed off when he made such a swizz about my shoes"....
Well, I have heard the swizz word before, but I love making up words as I go along! I am famed for making up stupid nicknames which the family then adopts - Mine, obviously, is Sendibo. Not going to say my sisters as they give away what their names actually are, but my oldest brother is 'Favourite Best' and the youngest has had three - 'Chuggy', 'Numness' and the current - 'Huggy'. Dad calls him 'Chumbalitis'.
Me and Mum have our own private language which is basically tweaked English but which other people find hard to understand. Probably because it sounds so mad.

Making up stuff as we go along? Just a bit I think right now might be a good place for an 'insane' smilie. Insane-ness is actually genetic and my family proves it. I suggest you lot all go and study your family trees....

Oh english really is a wonderful language! I'm learning so many new expressions! *lol*

Almost half way through the week now, how are you keep up? And what do you do to keep the DocMartinitus in place?
For my part I'm rewatching the series, and rewatching William & Mary.

who guessed we'd reached part four before the end of the current series? Was it MR? Congratulations, you've won a cornish pasty [as featured in 'On TheEdge'] or a bottle of water directly from Bert's own source!

whoever goes next to PI during filming should ask MC for a cast [mould] of his hands, not a picture...
They've done that in St Andrews with the hands of famous golfers

Wow - how awesome are we!!! When I came to part three and saw 'closed' I actually clapped.
I wonder if there is a cut off point? Maybe there is, but we just keep exceeding it and they cut us off when they notice.

it is a little confusing, because part 1 have 400 pages, part 2 have 333, part 3 just 181.... maybe part 4 will finish with 95 pages??

They'd better not make it too short, or we'll be up at Part 10 by series 5!

Worryingly close to the truth, I fear.

I just had a really disturbing merchandising idea - models of MC and CC. Possibly other cast members. And the dogs, obviously.
Bags I get to do the measurements on MC!
(Accuracy is vitally important, after all.)

I get almost as many laughs from the forum as I do from watching DM

He is a fine looking man, but I wish he'd let up on the suit a bit. I hated to see him wearing that apron cutting up his fish, loved how Louisa said she'd like to see him 'out of that suit and in a wet-suit'.

And the writing does still play up that 'gormless' side of him, the bed-wetting for example has been mentioned occasionally and the way he didn't defend himself against the taxidermist dad/mum. But I guess that's down to his horrible childhood, the episode with his parents gave me goose bumps, what a chilling pair they were and to think they raised a child!

Wow- part four! Cut again (a bit randomly I think)

Difficult to keep up, so apologies if I repeat what others have said...I did see some positive posts about Jack LoAthian??

I thought it was a very odd episode...Joan and Louisa arguing? We have just had a few lovely episodes of bonding between them, to be curiously shattered this week in a subplot?

There were some nice moments between LG and DM- the whole bad parenting conversation was very similar to the badger burner episode. (Although the badger burners were far better characters/actors. Theo Wenn's mother was just an unconvincing overactor who reminded me of the scary scientist lady. )

Loved how he immediately asked about the baby when Louisa phoned him in a panic...

Where are they going with the BT storyline? She obviously knows him very well, but turned down dinner- why, if she is trying to get her claws into him? Her appearance this week was so fleeting and she seems to be there purely to put Martin in touch with a therapist.

AAAHHH, if only they could get PROPER writers....
