Girl Number 9
I'm sure some of you have heard about it, it starts this friday.
http://www.canyousaveher.com/home.html Vincent Boylan (Joe Absolom) has just been arrested, suspected of being the man behind the brutal murder of seven girls, but the team only have a limited time to get a confession out of him. If they can't make him talk, he could slip through their fingers. Detective Matheson (Gareth David-Lloyd), who led the investigation, is sent in to try and get some answers. But things soon take a horrifying turn for the worse, as Matheson and his boss Lyndon (Tracy-Ann Oberman) are about to find out that all is not as it seems. Story by Dan Turner & James Moran. Written by James Moran Starring Gareth David-Lloyd (Torchwood), Joe Absolom (Doc Martin, Personal Affairs) and Tracy-Ann Oberman (Doctor Who, Eastenders). Produced by Martin Baker & Pete Coogan Episodes 1-3 directed by Dan Turner. Episodes 4-6 directed by James Moran Girl Number 9 was filmed at Elstree Film Studios. |

You don't have to have your PC hooked to the TV. Just watch it online. It is going to be available to buy or download after it has all been aired. Each episode is at 9pm and repeated for about month. It only lasts five minutes and there are six episodes, making half an hour in all.
We have been following this on Twitter for about a month. It is advisable to try and follow the tweets about it to get the flavour. |

Apparently there is a cliffhanger at the end of every episode (presumably not the last one!)
Here is the link to the thread in the Torchwood forum. Girl Number 9 |

Only a few hours to go. It seems that this is being streamed worldwide and there has been interest from as far afield as Australia, Canada and the US.

Apparently the password thing will disappear at 9pm. They are certainly cranking up the excitement.

Good start and I've read no spoilers so this is it for me. So good to see Gareth again and hear those Welsh vowels.

Not quite so Welsh as in Torchwood though. Great start - can't wait till Monday. There is a trailer on tomorrow for Episode 2.

Interesting start.
I can't form a real opinion at this stage though, obviously. |

It doesn't really tell you much as it is only short.

I am looking forward to seeing the next episode of GN9. I only wish it had been made as a proper TV series.

There's a small chance that could happen if a major tv producer takes an interest. One of the 'extras' on GN9 told local reporters that this on-line drama could be used as a pilot if it were good enough.

We can but hope Gill. I wish it wasn't on at 9. Having real trouble as there are 6 things I want to watch or record on then and that must be a record. Still more GDL to look forward to - yay.
