I've got a 160GB Seagate ST3160215ACE in mine, been working flawlessly for over a year.
Tried a 160GB Western Digital WD1600AVBB before that and it worked for 9 out of 10 recordings but every so often a recording would skip. |

Please help a n00b.
![]() Can anyone advise on this hard drive? I understand that 5400rpm is what Sky + prefers although that's based on hear-say. After Anytime takes 80 of the 250gb, would I in effect be doubling the current disk space I have? I believe I have an Amstrad V3 but I'm not too sure about that - I got it in June 2007 if that helps. |

You could possibly go to the Seagate website and look (possibly in the obsolete products section!) for IDE drives with the "ACE" suffix at the end of the P/N - that (AFAIK) denotes an AV optimised drive - and then search for one of those. John |
