DS : Chanelle: 'I'm ready to mingle' (merged)

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/...to-mingle.html

Quote:
Former Big Brother star Chanelle Hayes has announced that she is ready to start dating again.

The 21-year-old reportedly took an overdose of paracetamol and red wine following an argument with Middlesbrough footballer Matthew Bates in the summer. She later vowed to seek help for her problems and was spotted at The Priory clinic.
Presumably she'll be after a middle-ranking football-player or something similar .....

She'd be foolish to set her sights too high.

Presumably like most people she'll be interested in finding someone she finds attractive.

As I understand it she's been out with a number of men since splitting with Ziggy including students. Not quite the stuff caricatures are made of though.

Quick recovery? It was a suicide attempt not cancer.

The incident was some months ago and Chanelle’s throwaway comment (doubtless not to be taken too seriously ) would tend to show that she’s now just trying to get on with her life. Good for her I say.

I'm fully aware of what was wrong with her.

She'll be getting on with her life until the next petulant outburst no doubt.

Well then to sarcastically describe her as having a quick recovery from it seems entirely inappropriate given that we are months down the line and is more in keeping in relation to someone who for example had cancer. Hence my point.

Unfortunately you seem unable to distinguish the difference between a suicide attempt and a petulant outburst. To define a suicide attempt as a petulant outburst (as you seem to be doing) is not only rather absurd but in extremely bad taste IMO.

FGS Chanelle....

Read a couple of IVs with her over the last few weeks..and it seemed like she was being sensible ,seriously trying to sort out her probs..but now seems like she is throwing herself back into the party scene....

DS News:-

Hayes commented: "I'm single and ready to mingle. I feel sexier and sassier than ever and I'm ready to unleash my wicked side. Watch out boys."

..sigh....

anyone using the word "sassy" about themselves turns out to be a bit mental or a loud-mouthed pain in the neck IMHO....

Guess it will same old same old from her in the zleb mags soon.....

Chanelle went straight from sixth form college to fame. I always think it is tough for people in that situation - she has no experience of the sort of ordinary, pleasant life other people her age are living. Taking into account the fact that she seemed insecure and young for her age anyway, and I can see that the loss of her media profile must seem a frightening prospect to her.

FGS, it was a cheeky Nuts mag shoot/interview, not a weighty political speech. I think some people would prefer her to stay at home moping instead of going out and having fun.

Former Big Brother housemate Chanelle Hayes has spoken out about the angry row which she claims drove her to attempt suicide.

The 21-year-old glamour model was found unconscious on the floor of her Wakefield home on Thursday night after overdosing on sleeping tablets, paracetamols and four bottles of wine.

She claims she tried to take her own life after a heated argument with her football player boyfriend Matt Bates.

Bates has denied that he is to blame for her overdose and has refused to talk about the row.

The Middlesbrough midfielder said: 'I know a lot of what she has been talking about is complete b*******.

'Just remember there are two sides to every story, whatever b****** she comes out with and I'm keeping my side of the story private.'

Chanelle is now back at home after spending the night in The Pinderfields Hospital.

IT took Chanelle Hayes multiple attempts to get a snap to illustrate just how troubled she is.

In a dowdy tracksuit and wearing not a scrap of slap, the former BB star, 21, walked past this sign for celeb rehab The Priory four times before the paps noticed.

CHANELLE HAYES is getting back in the swim after her pills and booze breakdown earlier this month.

The former Big Brother babe went right off the deep end following a row with her *footballer boyfriend.

And she ended up checking into the famous Priory Clinic to get her life back on track.

Now the brave beauty is feeling – and looking – on top of the world.

First on the schedule for Chanelle, 21, is a sunshine trip with her bosom buddy, Celebrity Big Brother winner Chantelle

TO hell with the Priory, Chanelle Hayes has found the best cure for the blues.

A filthy lads’ holiday in Marbella, of course.

Gallivanting in a tiny gold bikini at the trendy Buddha Beach Club, the Big Brother bunny oiled up football pal Jermaine Pennant, 26, while giving Calum Best, 28, top, an eyeful of her ripe coconuts.

I assume it's backstory for those that don't follow Channelles life that closely.

Omah, if your post is aimed at anything I've written all I can say is that it doesn’t contradict as single thing I’ve posted. Depressed people or those who are experiencing a troubled emotional present do still go on holiday you know and in fact unhappy, troubled people are often advised to take a holiday and get away from everything, ie “Go away and leave your troubles behind you” as the saying goes. Often being told that they should take a sunshine break away from it all if they can.

Going for such a break a few weeks after a suicide attempt doesn’t equate to a “quick recovery” however and nor does it imply that they couldn’t have felt genuine despair at the time of the said suicide bid. It also shouldn’t be inferred that any underlying problems she had experienced must all of a sudden have vanished and in fact she’s since admitted she’s getting ongoing help for them.

The only fact we know is that Chanelle attempted suicide and any speculation questioning Chanelle’s state of mind at the time is largely a mixture of presumption and conjecture. I don’t personally know her, nor am I suitably medically qualified.

I also hardly think that the Daily Star is much of a source of evidence and I would have thought most people by now had come to take their reports with a large dose of scepticism (especially the case with the Gossip blurb which was clearly being facetious IMO).

Ahhh you see the difference is I don't slavishly follow every single thing the petulant one does/think etc. (although quite how some FM's on here seem to be able to tap into her brain to know what she thinks, never fails to amaze me)

I have my own opinion of her, & shall express it whenever I choose......as has been discussed to death on here before, this is an open forum where I can do exactly that.

I certainly don't need lectured on what is appropriate or inappropriate, thank you.

She is a spoiled petulant brat & really needs to grow up!

Oh look, I've expressed my opinion on her again.

I really feel sorry for her. She is so immature and lost. I wish she would just get herself grounded with a normal job. She is heading for more pain chasing the vaccuous celebrity life.

I think the point is that Chanelles various emotional traumas are always accompanied by tabloid stories and photoshoots.

I couldn't possibly begin to speculate on the reasons for this strange confluence of events, you'd have to ask her agent about that, but it does seem that exposing herself, literally and figuratively to the tabloid gaze is more important for Chanelle than simple, private, and anonymous recovery.

Most people at 21 years of age want to be out there having fun and it is difficult for Chanelle to keep anything private because she (and I know how upsetting this is for many FMs) is still a celeb and every time she changes her hairstyle, let alone boy friend, she hits the headlines !!!

Also at her age most of us have our hearts broken and many of us climb into the fridge, eat icecream and chocolate and play sad songs. Others drink far too much and make silly and over emotional and dramatic pleas for help.

Her biggest problem seems to be that she has very bad judgement as far as men are concerned but girls do at that age, many continue with that lack of judgement far into middle age !!!
Let us hope that Chanelle has more luck with any new guy, she deserves to find someone nice eventually.
