Another soap cliche

After they spent the night together, we see the woman wearing the man's shirt.

It seems to happen often in soaps...

If a newborn baby is left outside a shop by mistake and someone takes it, there is always a panic, but its usually someone local or friendly took it for a stroll lol.

Never the other way around, though.

You sometimes see the bloke in the woman's dressing gown. Of course, I can't think of any examples of this...

You forgot to mention that shirt-wearing woman will always wake with full make-up on, without a smudge to be seen, as well as hair that's just been brushed, styled and sprayed. Handy

Yes me too, was it one of Jayne's all frilly and floral? Can't recall the episode or context though!

It does happen in real life as well though. Especially if you're in the bloke's place and your clothes from last night are too tight/flashy for lounging around in the morning.

Daphne in Neighbours many years ago had a baby without taking off her tights!

And the pub or cafe will take you on straight away, even if they haven't seen you before in their lives.

New businesses are up and running in a matter of hours with no papers/forms involved.

Or she's still got her bra on and he's still wearing his underpants.

When a character phones someone - they get to speak to them instantly!

Only if they're moving hundreds of miles. If they're moving down the street then they have to carry boxes and boxes of stuff over

People pack and unpack in the living room and almost NEVER in their bedroom.

Once a character has died, within 2 weeks they are long forgotten and family have friends have practically forgotten they ever existed.

Xmas CANNOT go past without an arguement, and an affair/abortion/pregnancy/birth/death occuring.

Characters can move abroad to places like the USA, Canada or Australia within a couple of weeks of deciding to go. Visas don't exist in soapland.

Pregnancies rarely last 9 months.

Character's birthdays seem to shift date. Might be wrong about that one, but I'm sure it has happened.

It is quite normal for a character to meet 'the love of their life' about 20 times or more. Often marrying that 'love of their life' only to get divorced and the find 'the love of their life' a few months later, get married, then divorced and then meet 'the love of their life'... you get the picture.

Characters (usually female) who are guilty of infidelity soon forget that when it comes to pouring moral judgement on a friend, neighbour or partner who is currently having an affair. In Corrie alone Sally, Gail, Dierdre, Maria and worst of all Liz MacDonald are all guilty of such a crime.

Murderers go unnoticed.

The police are always inept.

The list goes one.

Couples have no qualms about getting married after only being together a few months.
