Library

Anyone borrow (rent) games from their local library ??

I was just in ours and while they didnt appear to have many new things, they had plenty of older ones, like Far cry2, Mercenaries, LBP, bad company.

It could be the better ones were already out mind you, as last time I was in the library was about 2 years ago.

anyway, took the kids in and came out with Hannah Montana:the movie (for my daughter) and Shaun white snowboard (for my son) It was them that picked them, despite there being "better" games there.

Cost £1.65 for 7 days each.

In fact they have HAZE also. I'm gonna rent this next time so I can say with authority that its crap.

did it for music ages ago but was a pain as had togoto the central library in birmingham not my local one. I tesco rental my games these days which aint so bad but i buy games still and play those more than the rentals . Would be better cost wise if i played rentals faster for quicker turnaround

Just a little add to this.
i took the kids games back today and they had a better selection in today.

Seen COD4, Killzone 2, Hallout 3, Madden 10, to name a few.

I mean if you were interested at all in completing the campaign in COD4 or KZ2 then definite idea to check them out there. £1.65 in mine.

To be honest as far as the kids games went it was a non event. They played them on day 1 then didnt look at them again. Would have been an even bigger waste had we bought them mind you. To be fair to my daughter the Hannah Montana one looked quite difficult to remember.

Didnt pick any up this week (just books for the kids)

I wouldnt mind trying out the Fallout 3 but heard this is a long game, so might be cheaper option to eventually buy this one.

fallout 3 took me over 70 hours to do but i was doing all the side missions and exploring every corner.
The main campaign wouldn't take as long but still would take around about 30+ hours.
I'd recomend buying it i saw a pre-owned copy in my local gamestation for £9.99 might be worth checking your local gamestation ect..
