Was Natalie's jive worth 30 ?

I'm no dancer but thought it looked clumpy and messy so was surprised at the comments and her score.

No...but, as I've written several times on the subject of last night, at least half the couples were overmarked.

I think it was worth 7's to be honest, it was an okay jive but not light enough, certainly nothing special. I think they were being kind because she made such a thing of wanting a 30. I do get the feeling she is being treated with kid gloves.

The marks were all the place last night and the judge’s comments seemed to largely concern how hard she tries, which is fair enough but then really how many of them should be getting under 30 in that case?

For sheer persistence in the face of adversity and all evidence of dance ability pointing to the contrary, surely Craig should be on a 40?! (god help us all)

I thought it was "ok". Probably a '7' would have been about right. However, after seeing other examples of over-marking, I certainly would not begrude her a couple of 8's.
She showed tremendous energy for most of the Jive, that did impress me.

I didn't think so but, I can understand why the judges marked her high. She was enthusiastic and really looked as if she was enjoying herself.

I did like how Vincent thanked her when they were saved by the public. It would seem it's not only Craig who wanted to go to Blackpool.

Maybe the judges didn't feel they could remark on her being heavy on her feet incase they got accused of being "fattest".

I think she was over marked. She showed alot of energy (particularly in the beginning) but she dances flat footed and doesn't have a bounce. But then, what do I know - I also think Zoe has been overmarked.. (not that that is an issue now).

No way. She doesn't use her feet at all, never points them, just dumps them wherever they land. She did have good energy though.

I felt the same , it was clunky . And Alesha mentioned Chris' open mouth but failed to mention Natalies wide open one , you could have parked a van in it .

Of coarse it wasn't , but it was good for a laugh, as was her outfit .

After watching training footage I predicted she'd get 6 7 7 7 and I still thought that after the dance. I was waiting for her to get slated, but it never really happened
The judges must have seen something I didn't but my god, point your feet woman! Those kicks were driving me demented

She has energy and enthusiasm but that alone doesn't warrant either the marks or the kid glove treatment from the judges imo.

She seems very clumpy and heavy footed to me - not much grace either. She's not the worst dancer but she's certainly in my bottom two.

I think so - compared to the other points given out last night. They were very entertaining, however my eyes kept straying to Vincent (because they always do ).

I've just watched it on Iplayer and it was more like a 6

I just can't see what the judges see it was clumsy and stompy

Glad I found this thread as I thought it was just me lol

probably not worth a 30 but they seemed to mark her more for her enthusiasm last night

Has she ever been really criticised? I'm sick and tired of hearing how hard she tries and how good her attitude/enthusiasm is by the judges. They are there to critique the dancing ability and to let us vote on her personality.

All of them are working their bleedin socks off, all of them are loving it and its not fair that she gets so much praise whilst they totally ignore the fact her dancing itself is pretty dire.

As I have dancing experience in the jive Natalie did deserve her 30 last night

maybe everyone else should try and do some dancing before critising

Yet another Natalie bashing thread.

She performed the dance well, and her marks and placing on the final leaderboard were justified, while the public votes did the rest.

Didn't realise it was supposed to be about perfection...at this stage the voters don't seem to think so.
