Michelle and Ryan Connor. - Soaps

Is it just me or since Michelle has returned from her trip with the band, is anyone else really enjoying her again?

She's one of the best things about the show atm.

As for Ryan I think he has really grown into his role, he isn't the chavy kid who was spray painiting Norris' shop or the misrable moaner who was fighting with Alex. I really like him with Sian and Ben. I hope once Ben leaves they bring in a new friend for Ryan, not Phil tho. I didn't like him.

I like here when shes trying to tame her mum at the connors, away from that i cant really stand her, her latest storyline with the weird builder is boring but i'm going to give him a chance. How long is he here for??

I always liked Michelle even during the babyswap which I know got panned but I did actually like the new son better than ryan and it would have been interesting to see them two sparing for her attention, its a shame they dont even mention it these days and act as if it didnt happen.

Ive always liked her, especially in the pub becuase as good as steve is hes still really immature and Michelle works well with Liz and would I think make a better landlady than Liz. In fact id say make Helen & barrie (with the orginal helen) buy the rovers now that would be good.

They should either give her a proper long term bloke or keep her single, these odd one night stands portray her as a slapper and Michelle never struck me as that.

I'll tell you something else too whilst im in mare mode, Ive not missed becky or steve one bit since they have been on holiday, in fact id go as far to say Id like their absence to be perminant.

I've always liked Michelle and never quite got all the Michelle hate on here ... I'd like to see her get better storylines. She's great at the serious stuff and also the comedy stuff. Much prefered Michelle and Steve to Becky and Steve too ....

Theres not many of us around it would seam most people dont like her and prefer becky but I dont see the attraction there.

Do you think Michelle would make a good land lady to take over from Liz at some point in the future?

To run the rovers in a few years, I reckon she's the obvious choice TBH.
Plus, Michelle has had really bad luck with blokes, that Sunny guy and Steve both cheated on her and I think that helps me appreciate why she can be a bit stand offish with blokes. Her relationship with Rayn is also realistic, she speaks to him like an adult now, which rings true cos he's had to grow up pretty fast in the last year or so.

I don't understand the flak she gets on here as I like the character alot, I liked her and Steve together,they used to make me laugh - they were far more believeable than him and Becky,.........- god, they must be back soon.

totally agree with you there, and also since becky & steve have been on holiday ive not missed either of them at all, I think it was a massive mistake to pair them up and thrust becky to the forefront. Neither her nor steve will ever hold the licence to the Rovers either so who knows what they were thinking when they wrote that.

I still think Michelle is a rather poorly defined, hypocritical, unlikeable character, but she is getting better: least she isnt as badly defined and as all over the place as she was in 2008. god forbid!

Nothing to be remotely confused about. just because you are of the opinion the character has run her course does not make it a fact, certainly nothing to get "confused" about. she is there because people like her. (im not one of her fans, though).

Her overprotective mothering of him annoyed me at 1st. He was 15 and had a bed time and wasn't allowed pudding till he'd eaten his veg =/

But he's turning into quite a good character. He's starting to sound a bit like Liam with his one liners recently.

I agree - she had some good come backs with her mother but I cant stand her normally, or is it Kim Marsh.
Why does she wear fabulous clothes on a part time bar maids wage. I think that Kim fancies herself and wouldn't be seen dead in anything less . Also her obvious top hairdresser hair style too.
Think she must have twisted the producers arms as no other actress has the wardrobe except maybe Steve's Mum.
Pubs must be making more than the average down Weatherfield thats all I can say.

To be fair all her clothes are from the High Street, she doesn't wear designer stuff. I think she is just supposed to take care of her appearance, which is realistic.

Althogh still annoying i actually dont mind michelle when shes all feisty, and although still monotone i actually really like ryan, he has grown into quite a funny character, i like his comic delivery sometimes *GoodBYE* lol

I really like Michelle. When I heard Kym Marsh was comin into corrie, I thought she would be a rubbish actress. I know I will probably get slated for this but I happen to think she is one of the best they've got.

Good on you Kym... down to earth Northern Lass.

Wish it would work out with the builder too, the chemistry was good between them.

It's about time the girl had some luck with men, in corrie and reality.
