Or maybe so few have subscribed that the number of cancellations is uncountable.

I have cancelled ESPN. I needed to shave £20 a month off my Sky bill so decided to cancel Sky Sports. When I called up I got £10 a month off Sky Sports for 6 months then cancelled ESPN!

I think ESPN has done quite a good job TBF. Good quality choice of footy and like above Pl and Serie a in HD. Don't watch us sports , but the broadcast quality of that is better than Setanta did when i have flicked through.

I,m cancelling after the arsenal game on saturday. I have it about 6 weeks. I got it with that £5 deduction for the first month. Overall I think the setanta package was much more value for money.

True if you are not into UK / European Football, US sport, AFL or Rugby Union / UFC.

Setanta had more boxing and more Rugby League. What else did they have that is not covered by ESPN?

Overall I think it is great, especially as the picture quality is 1000% times better plus there is HD.

In fact I am also paying £4 a month less than I was with Setanta for a better product.

Never heard those claims before. Sound is not crap, picture has never went green to my knowledge and they basically show all there live sport in HD if the host are shooting it in HD. The ESPNHD feeds from the US probably are the best HD feeds to be showing out of any channel over here.

And if going by one recent post, getting a green screen on ESPN is a fault with your hardware.

I've been impressed with ESPN and how quickly they have found their feet. They cover a lot of sport that I follow and a good chunk of it in HD.

Setanta may have had more channels, most of which I never watched, but their quality was average to poor. ESPN are streets aheadin that respect.

Hopefully ESPN will continue to improve and add some other top quality sport as well as some good quality ESPN original programming.

Never heard so much ... whatever. I think you are talking about a different channel!

Sound on HD is outstanding, picture excellent - supreme in HD.

Do a search on green screens and you will see that it is not an isue with ESPN - happens to others on other channels = Hardware issue!

Where are these threads about ESPN issues over sound and picture - I have found one over the green screen where it is reported on ESPN AND other channels - there is one thread where someone says he has lost sound and nobody responded - so obviously a fault with them!!

Cancelled ESPN today and wasnt offered anything. I agree picture quality is superb in HD and I have had no problems with the sound. I cancelled for personal reasons - I didnt feel the £9 per month fee was worth it and I am getting pretty much what I want from Sky Sports.

There was a problem with Green screens - but not ESPN related - others had it on other channels as well. Yes there was a problem.

Well the thing I miss most from setanta is Arsenal tv. It also had complete coverage of the spl, boxing and GAA. Admittedly if youre dish was,nt alligned perfectly you had picture problems, and people had serious problems cancelling. Where you can cancell and resubscribe to espn whenever you want.

I cancelled a few days ago! Not worth the £9 for me! Cancelling was a breeze...no hassle although no offers either!
