Blimey! she left ages ago and went to ideal world when it started, then she went on to another channel, never thought she would go back, a few of them left on not very good terms IIRC.they went on to form IW

Yes, I think it was Paul Lavers, Debbie Flint and Steve Whatley who were the first presenters on Ideal World.

yep they left that that 'fire' gutted the building and Ideal world went off for a while.

she has been making adverts for the higher up channels.

I quite liked her was never keen on the other two

Are you implying it was ''an insurance job'' as they say in the business. I'm sure m'learned friends would be interested to hear that if you are suggesting the fire was set deliberately as the remarks would be potentially libellous.

Poor Steve, he seemed to be running the joint
back in the 1990s
but with romance problems.. depression etc, he's no longer with us.

Now Dale Franklin seems to be running the joint.
You can t knock him, I suppose he is the housewives choice...............

I'd never seen Debbie until last week when she re-appeared on QVC, as have only been addicted ( ) to the shopping channels for the last 5 years or so. She's ok - fairly natural and has a filthy laugh! She seems a lot less up herself than some of them on there.

Mr Orange Man himself, Mr Zhuzh Steve Whatley! I know it was a touchy subject at the time but was it ever confirmed that it was suicide or what caused it? He seemed such a happy man.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that think's the QVC lot of presenters think rather highly of themselves. I used to watch QVC quite often, I can't stand it now purely because of the presenters .... Although I still go back for my Philosophy and L'Occitane but I often go on the website for them so I can avoid the P's altogether.

Not the same Christmas now he's not on. Used to look forward to August as I knew he would be doing that looney show on a saturday night.
And what a way to go. Poor man I was quite upset when I learned he had died

Really has got worse over the last couple of years, the hard sell is setting in and some of the fun has gone. There's the odd original one off on there like Pipa who I adore, but most of them seem to think they're real celebrities.

I'm with you on the L'Occitane and Philosophy tho - good choices it's what I do too.

I'm fairly certain that indeed, sadly it was suicide. There were stories that his marriage was in trouble and he wasn't coping - I think he locked himself in his car and gassed himself with exhaust fumes. Utterly shocking and such a waste of life of a lovely man.

QVC did the right thing by swallowing it's priden and bringing Debs back. She always was my favourite presenter, and still is.

Don't know how the 'grande dame' of QVC, Julia, will feel about her epiphany!

It's great to see Debs back, especially as she had been on those price drop channels lately. Queen bee Julia can't be happy though.

You might be right, maybe not everyone is so
thrilled to see her back in the QVC nest.

But shes nowhere in the babe stakes.
Alison K is still my No1.... though her complexion
is getting more dodgey by the day !

Im spending my time counting the spots
now when she s on .... shes worse than Posh

Aww I don't like Julia too much, she's extremely annoying and has a very inflated ego (just the way she tosses back her hair ) but I don't think she is that big.

I didn't know he had died!! Haven't really watched shopping channels in a while, remember he used to a bits on This Morning as well. He was a good presenter.

My fav on QVC was Kara Tritton, she was very good.

Kara Tritton used to scare me when she used to talk to those evil looking dolls she was trying to sell!
