Upgrading Sky+ to Sky+ HD Advice Rqd
I am thinking of upgrading from SKY+ to HD and have a Toshiba 32WLT66 tv.
1) Does anyone know what resolution this tv gives - (ie 720 or 1080 ?) and if anyone has this tv and Sky HD what is the picture like for SD and HD ? 2) What resolution does Sky broadcast in for HD ? Any advice would be useful Thanks |

I have a Toshiba 32WLT58, as Leekey said, it native resolution is 1366 x 768, and displays video from the HD box with no problems.
I have had it since the launch of Sky+ HD over 3 years ago and have not had a problem with it, it was well worth the investment. I find the SD pictures really good, and the HD picture fantastic. Sky's channels broadcast in 1080i, but this screen is perfectly ok. If you do find yourself leaning towards upgrading, I would urge you to take a look at the channels available, what programmes are broadcast in HD (not all programmes are) that you like to watch, and decide whether it is worth the extra cost before going ahead. There will be a 12 month minimum subscription if you decide to go ahead. |
