They are not very forthcoming with polls on this forum, I must warn you. And you have not included a box for yes, but there again no. BB has been a big part of my life - fascinating, maddening, funny and gripping - but I guess it has to end some time. I can't see myself arguing furiously over the merits of series 107. For everything there is a time, and either the franchise or I will eventually die.

Yes I will really, despite faults I've enjoyed every series I've watched, and I love getting all excited before it starts and gossiping both on here and with friends about the housemates and what we think of each series etc. As sad as this may sound but sometimes Big Brother series' have been the highlight of my Summer when there hasn't been much going on, so yeah I will be sad to see it go.

The concept remains valid, the execution has been lacking. It will return.

Yes most definitely. It also means I'll have to do something more constructive with my summers.

Shouldn't it be after 2010? I thought next year's was supposed to be the last on Channel 4?

Nope, Channel 4 killed it. It is VERY unlikely that BB will be like it was in it's prime.

It's all gone too PC, to ever be what it was.

I totally agree with your post....but I wont be sad if BB were never to return....so my answer is no....I`ll miss it but I wont mourn it`s loss.Having said that I think it will be resurrected at some point in the future....at a guess I think it will be off our screens for 5 to 10yrs.Times are changing and the era of reality TV(BB style) is coming to an end....but it will return because were all human and humans just love gossip and tittle tattle that shows like BB provide.

Not really, it's more than run it's course now, I'm a major fan but I think I've just grown up now and the majority of fans have too so it's not the brilliant show it once was, no longer discussing it in class the next day.

I think everyone's basically just moved on and it's right that it ends now really.

No. I didn't miss BB10 when it finished so I think I'll survive when it comes to the point where it will never return. The format's had its day now and everything has a lifespan. I think it outstayed it's welcome unfortunately but at least it's bowing out after a good run.

It all depends on what shape and form..

If as the rumour suggests its going to be an internet based show that would IMO be the best thing..Big brother can drop the baggage of the PC its been forced to carry for such a long time.

Even Davina Says the Compliance has just totally swamped the show IMO its one of the biggest factors in its Decline.

im still hoping Endemol can sell the show onto a new station one that can love and respect the format that made it such a hit for C4.

Big brother has changed so much in the years when you look back to what it was like to what the last one was its nothing short of Tragic.

all around the EU BB's are still going on and for the 2nd time this Year BB italia is back on with all feeds in full force..this Credit crunch being the cause of the scrapping was and will be the biggest load of BS they knew cutting the feed would Castrate the show and kill it off.

I get sad when it ends every year.....

Next year will be heartbreaking

It has seeped into out consciousness more than anymore realises - apart from the obvious fact this very board would not have existed without it and we would not have met each other (some of us may have met before we came here or elsewhere of course during it i do realise...) But every summer and indeed winter these last few years have been dominated by BB, love it or hate it or the hms - it has been a landmark in TV history, something unlikely to be repeated.. and will go down in history.

Nothing lasts forever and one of my favourite showbiz truisms is "always leave them wanting more" better to go out and be missed then to go out when there is no one left watching!

As to the future, who knows i recently asked a certain former BB hm in an online chat if she thought BB could make a go of it online and she said she did..

Well i for one hope she is right

hi flower.
I think when people see the shape of CBB..and BB11..a lot more anger than upset will be felt.

if we look back how they treated a very important year they thought some 3rd rate quiz shows would be okay to Celebrate 10 years of BB.

Common sense would suggest last show on the channel throw everything into it go out with a Mega Bang..we all know that aint going to happen because C4 want that final stamp to make sure BB is Dead before it leaves.

the signs aren't good
davina mccall said tonight on twitter that
"there is going to be a BB10 and its going to be HUGE"
then corrected it to
"I mean BB11....i think i need to go to bed"

does HUGE mean a repeat of BB10 or does it mean the return of the 24/7 live feed
what can they do to make BB11 huge remembering that davina said BB10 was one of the best years ever

Sad is a understatement.

I'm still disappointed that we may never have a season that can top BB5 & BB7.

I have absolutely no idea what you mean, nor what Davina meant when she said what you quote. What is 'the baggage of PC'? What is 'the Compliance'?

I thought BB9 did.

BB7 got a bit boring towards the end, and it was far too tampered with imo, although it was amazing at the beggining.

BB9 (and BB5 and BB3) was fantastic all the way through.
