Former 24 Cast Member to return
Idle speculation only please I just thought it would be fun to speculate who this might be without giving anything away.
Who could return and why? My votes go to Greg Itzin (Charles Logan) - left for dead at the minute with no closure Kim Raver (Audrey Raines) - again left on sickbed, comatose and almost brainless with no closure between Jack and Audrey DB Woodside (Wayne Palmer) - Hospitalised ending his presidency - not the way for this character to finish his story? Elisha Cuthbert (Kim Bauer) - Now a mother, her relationship repaired with her father, will she getting herself into any more scrapes? Jean Smart (Martha Logan) Carlo Rota (Morris O'Brian) James Badge Dale (Chase Edmunds) |

I would like to see Wayne Palmer back somehow. He just went into a coma and was never mentioned again pretty much.

I think Kim will be back, and if Morris features it'll more than likely be in a support capacity like with season 7.
I'd love to see the Logans back but I think it might be a bit contrived, particularly to get both of them in there. The situation in season 6 was pretty ridiculous, so I wouldn't want to see something like that again (even though I loved it that they appeared). I'm not particularly bothered about closure regarding Wayne Palmer or Audrey Raines. And there's no reason at all for Chase to return. You know who I'd love to see again? Lynne Kresge! |

The about Lynne is her story ended in much the same way as Logan, Wayne Palmer and Audrey. Good characters have been destroyed physically and then just left.
They left us on a bit of a cliff hanger with Charles Logan, dieing on a paramedics bed but left the episode just soon enough so he could possibly return but his exit was far too abrupt in my opinion. I wasn't too critical of Season 6 although it wasn't my favourite but I hate what they did with Wayne Palmer. We had the vice president in the frame for the presidency, out of the frame and suddenly brought in again when Palmer broke down. I don't know anything about the contract issues but they should have kept palmer on the whole season. Call me picky if you want but I think America has had too many presidents in the world of 24. ![]() Perhaps the best closure so far has been with Audrey. Jack laying down their relationship for her own good but it still doesn't feel right that she was just left motionless on that bed. How long has it been now since that day...4, 5 years? Has she not recovered in that time? Can she make her own decision about whether she wants to risk continuing her relationship with Jack? I agree though the most likely returnees are Kim and Aaron Pierce :P |

The DS story tells you who's coming back doesn't it?

Yea it does, I haven't actually read the article, it was spoiler tagged wasn't it so I didn't read on. The Title was ambiguous so it might well be somone as obvious as Tony or Kim, but the great thing about not knowing is it could be anyone

They probably will but they should bring back Tony Almedia he should now be Jacks nemisis. And i think that Jack may die this series.
24 Season 8. For Jack Bauer its going to be just another one of those days. |

Jack's always had a nemesis.
Nina, Victor Drazen, Peter Kingsley, Steven Saunders, Habib Marwan, Charles Logan, Chang Li and now Tony. |

Another one for Nina Myers, the ultimate snake in the grass.
But that just in a fantasy sense. I don't think any of them would be good to bring back - 24 needs to keep changing and bringing in new people to seem interesting. I loved the movie at the start of last season, and think more settings away from the mainland United States with a foreign cast would keep it fresh. Jack needs to get some revenge on the Chinese - a season focused on somewhere like Hong Kong would be awesome. |

I wonder if 24 has reached that point yet where it's "jumped the shark".
I started watching 24 at Day 3 so I spent that whole season buying into the regular characters. Jack Bauer, David Palmer, Michelle Dessler, Tony Almeida, Kim Bauer. Top top actors and great characters that made the show. Come Day 4... where were they??? I know I'm doing the new characters a disservice but I just couldn't help but wonder... where were the regular team... Obviously the end of day 3 was a setup for their exits but what had they done with CTU...? Who in their right mind would sack their greatest asset as head of field operations... having the lead political role as secretary of defence rather than president seemed like a relegation somehow although Geoff Pierson did appear in more episodes than I thought as President Keeler. The point i'm trying to make is I lost all the characters I'd bought into except Jack and Chloe and then of course the head case in charge of CTU forced her out too. And what happened to "events occur in real time" to open the series. That was another miss. To go back to what you were saying about Nina Myers that was definately a turning point when Jack killed her. I think once day 3 finished I think the dynamic of 24 changed and went onto a new arc. I think the freshness of the show was left behind and while 24 has always given us some great stories nothing has matched up to the billing that the real time aspect gave us in the first few seasons. |

If they can bring back Tony, they can bring back Nina.
Maybe she had an identical twin we never knew about
