Rachel confirms the Danyl - Stacey incident - The X Factor

All of the Danyl fans were saying it was another made up story when Danyl was reported to have kept picking on Stacey by reading out newspaper reports about her when she had clearly stated that she did not want to hear them.

This from the guy who was crying over bad press. Can Danyl fans believe that these are not just nasty rumours now or is Rachel lying as well???

Rachel said: “At the beginning I don’t think viewers knew who I was. They knew I was this girl who liked to sing and that’s all.

“Whereas the others... they knew Stacey from Dagenham and Lucie from her little village in Wales.

Everyone had a little story. No-one knew who I was. I wasn’t broadcast as much as anyone else.

“Simon’s comments about me probably didn’t help either.”

Rachel also broke ranks and said that there ARE fights among the finalists, despite the others’ claims that they all get along well.

She confirmed that Danyl upset Stacey by reading out hurtful press cuttings to her about being a bad mum for leaving her young son at home.

I never said it was a lie, I said I didnt believe it was the only row that had happened although it was the only one reported.

I am sure a lot of them row about many different things, but unless Danyl and a girl are involved it will never be reported.

If he did that, it was mean. However, unless I meet him in person, I can't tell you what he is actually like. I enjoy his singing and his performances so will continue to vote for him as long as I do. This is after all, a talent/entertainment contest, not a nicest person or a run for prime minister.

Simple as that really.

spot on. you hardly ever saw her in the shows before the live rounds started. i think it really did hurt her chances. i said it last night she didn't have a gimmick or sob story. prehaps if she did she might still be in there.

Correct

Was Stacey upset with the article or Danyl telling her about it? Context is not clear at all.

It is on balance a non story, agreed, but I am not surprised it has been seized upon as "evidence" against Danyl.

Rachel is correct about the public "not knowing" her. She hardly got any airtime, Stacey and Lucie have had their sob-stories about being a single mum and being from a "tiny" village... Rachel has had her voice and that's it. Massive disadvantage when so many people are voting in their droves for the likes of J&E - if they hadn't had so much media attention and airtime, they'd have been gone in the first week.

I don't feel surprised that Danyl read out hurtful press comments to Stacey, I don't get good vibes from it at all but would like him to prove me wrong. He's got a good voice, not my cup of tea, and I think he actually deserved to be in the bottom 2/3 last week with his tuneless performance.

Rachel had enough airtie this year and last to be remembered this year on her return, and plenty on the results shows. I don't blame her for being disappointed that her time on the show has ended, but she doesn't seem to be taking it well.

I would be annoyed with Dnayl if he read out negative articles about me without my permission as well, wonder if he read about everyone but onlu Stacey got upset?

I am sure that if it was nothing then rachel could have said "Yes there was an incident but it was a misunderstanding and danyl didn't mean it" but she didn't say that. It's funny how that story came out and everyone said it was just the press making it up, then now it has been confirmed people still don't want to accept it. Nice people don't do nasty things like that.

I also remember that week on the show Dannii saying that stacey had a very bad week in the house and she had been having a good girly talk to her as she had been really upset and crying.

Yes but this is an article from the Daily Star. Red tops have never been renowned for reporting context correctly. Who knows what else Rachel said in the interview that the paper decided to leave out for "dramatic effect"

What this thread shows is that Forum members are happy to cry "Fix & manipulation" with regard to X factor producers & Simon Cowell but are happy to accept every rumuor about contestants as fact.

Trouble is, the press will always leave out bits and twist words even if they have given the interview themselves. The worst part is that people still actually take word for word as gospel and peoples lives and careers can be ruined over some trivial thing blown out of proportion.

Yeah I noticed that, too - Everyone else had these 'epic' auditions or a fair amount of coverage of some description (didn't Olly, Jamie and Danyl get an entire segment to themselves?!), with the exception of Kandy Rain and that doesn't exactly disprove that theory since they were first out. When I saw Rachel was in the final 12 I was like... "...who?"

Simple as that really.

Because rows can happen at any time over something as simple as who ate the last tin of beans. There is a difference between that and picking on someone to the point that they cry and, even worse, it being over something as precious as your child.

Sadly, this is only the tip of the iceberg. There is so much more that could be reported.

Yes, this is a talent show (in which case Danyl has no business winning either) but if you want to carry on supporting someone who is so evidently a nasty piece of work taking up space and oxygen on the planet and give them the prize, I am glad I do not think the same way as you.

Exactly,I can see the Danyl fans minds working, it is like they live in some sort of fantasy land.

Lets picture it

Stacey: "Danyl please read out those nasty articles about me in the press"

Now we all wake up and smell the coffee , I am sure if Stacey had wanted to know then she would have read them herself, but then again Danyl fans probably think she can't read so he did it for her out of the goodness of his heart
