I have never seen any of his other seances but I think I can imagine what they are like. Am I being aover sensitive, or is this really really distateful?!

I know it is in incredibly bad taste .... but can I really pass up the opportunity to see Dezza being "possessed" by the spirit of MJ?

The biggest problem here is that the programme was an absolute farce. I watched the first hour of rubbish, to be told there would then be a prgramme without breaks (but there were subsequently breaks every 10-15 minutes). Having sat through one and a half hours we finally got to the so-called seance, only to watch Derek Acorah launch into his usual play-acting, quoting the inevitable 'Residual Energy' and usual platitudes and cliches.

What an absolute load of rubbish. Was hoping for something interesting, but should have known better. An insult to my intelligence. Maybe I was expecting it, but had just hoped it would be a change from the norm.....

Agree...

I would also add (and some may think this is slightly extreme), that I regard psychics and those who encourage them as among the lowest forms of life out there. These 'people' intentionally prey on vulnerable people. Many of whom are grieving loved ones, desperately looking for information on missing people and looking for closure after heartbreak and they do it all for money and fame. Absolute scum. The only defence these people offer to this and similar accusations is that the person saying such things must be lacking love or probably had a sad childhood and perhaps didn't get cuddled enough but that is wearing a little thin considering the 'psychics' continue to get exposed at an alarming rate.

Some may argue that they're doing no harm and helping people. In response to that, every single independent scientific evaluation of their so called skills have concluded that there is no basis for their claims and all the processes they use have been explained by known methods. Also, how is it helping people by telling them that their missing child is dead only for them to turn up alive and well sometime in the future?

I urge people to take a step back from the idealistic desire to be able to communicate with dead people in order to seek forgiveness, closure or for any other matter and perhaps start looking into other means of coping with their loss.

The truly sad thing is, people like Acorah still have people believing in them regardless of how many times they get debunked. That just goes to show how much some people need to believe in communicating with the afterlife and highlights just how much of a lucrative business it is.
