I know I'm biased, as an Adam fan, but I'm even more looking forward to this album after listening to the samples.

There's not one track I dislike and even those that I'll need to hear in full to be totally sure of sound promising.

It seems like it all that Adam promised it would be .. a lot of commercial sounding tracks with a dance/club feel but also some ballads and an overall 70's/80's glam rock feel to a lot of the songs.

Music Again totally stands out as being written by Justin Hawkins and Soaked is absolutely beautiful .. I loved the demo recorded by Matt Bellamy and I'm not disappointed in Adam's version .. I'm pleased they seem to have left his voice alone and kept the vulnerability.

Can't wait to hear the full album

Also slightly biased because I thought he was great anyway, but it sounds like a great album, can't wait to hear all of it!
'For Your Entertainment' has been going round and round in my head for days now!! :-D

I love the song 'For Your Entertainment' so was really hoping for a full album of electro pop. A male Lady Gaga but this is almost full of rock-lite style songs. I'm not loving many of them. Don't even get me started on the first track which sounds like something off a Darkness album. He needs to have some sort of direction i think.

Sounds like recycled trash to be honest. But i won't form a proper opinion till I hear it in full, it's not fair to just listen to 20 or so second clips per song and make a valid opinion.

Adam had stated before making the album that he wanted to try to appeal to as many different genres as possible - so that he couldn't really be pigeonholed, so in that respect he doesn't (or didn't) feel as though he needed a direction...

Moving on to the album preview...

Personal highlights for me:

Strut - great guitar work, funky, beautiful vocals (though that's to be expected!)
A Loaded Smile - very Muse like actually, high falsetto, strange ethereal quality about the music
Broken Open - gorgeous vocals
Sure Fire Winners - funky!
Time For Miracles - have heard this previously, but I love the bit after the second chorus (I think it is!) when the guitar comes in
Soaked - always was gonna love this, it's a Matt Bellamy song for crying out loud! Suitably haunting.

None of the songs really appeal to me. I like rock, but not this type of rock. It's rock lite as someone said. It's not cool alternative indie type of rock. Some of the songs sound like Journey or Bon Jovi.

It would have been better for him internationally though if he had a 'sound'. Many people wont have watched American Idol so will hear the first song 'For Your Entertainment' and think it's fantastic then hear all these quite naff rocks songs on the album and be confused.

Maybe his second album will be more focused. He's a talented guy and definitely a sta in the making.

Check out this review of songs http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/rea...snippets-leak/

I think it sounds very promising with something for everyone - I preordered my album from HMV in May & have US deluxe collector edition version being sent over .....so yes perhaps I am biased but I still think it is fab!!! LOL
