Channel 4 3D Programmes Week Help!!!

Has anyone gotten the 3d glasses from Sainsburys?
Maybe someone can help me,I live in Ireland and would like to get the glasses online so my children can watch the programmes but I don't know which colour type Sainsburys are giving away!
Are they these:

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.23160

or these:

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.23113

or these

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.23161

I hope someone can help me out and tell me which type to get!!!!Thanks

They are the Colorcode Glasses

The last pair in your list are blue and yellow type and it does say "Great product to watch GLSSPY Chuck and Ghosts of the Abyss, etc" which used ColorCode. They should work but they look like slightly different tints so I don't know how good they'll be...probably best to be safe and order the specific Colorcode ones...you can get them off eBay

When is this 3D week as Channel 4 in their usual incompetence seem to neglect to mention this fact on their 3D week website.

I thought they's given up on the idea of it.

They mad a big deal of it when the 3D episode of Chuck was on virgin a couple of months ago and then theres been nothing so I just assumed they'd had second ideas.

I just need to know in advance so that i do my online shopping from sainsbury for the first time in ages as opposed to tesco.

Pity its ch4 doing it as well when it comes to it as theres hardly anything on ch4 I watch thats british other than bb and god help us if they ever were to broadcast that 3D.

I'll take a look on their web site and see what they're offering up I didn't even know they had anything about it. They really haven't made a very big deal about it have they.

Colorcode uses amber & blue filters, so searching for "amber blue 3d glasses" on ebay should find a larger range of sellers.

I've bought many 3d glasses off ebay & they've all arrived the next day!
(benefit of folding flat & fitting in an envelope I expect)

Here are some listings.....

Channel 4 - TV Listings - Monday 16th of November 2009

16th Nov

21:00 The Queen in 3D

22:00 Derren Brown in 3D

I'm not a fan of the Queen or magic but I'll be suckered in to watch both in 3D

Channel 4 - TV Listings - Tuesday 17th of November 2009

17th Nov

21:00 The Queen in 3D

00:40 Flesh For Frankenstein 3D

Even though it's an "el weirdo" film, I'm looking forward to seeing the Udo Kier freakshow in 3D. I'm sure the transfer will at least be a better quality than the 3D bootleg version that's available on the net.

No Listings for Wed or Thursday but it's the Queen in 3D again on Friday followed by Friday the 13th part 3 in 3D.

Watched a 3D film the other day but because I wear glasses it wasn't so good. I tired putting the 3D glasses over my normal glasses but the effect didn't seem to work, then I put the 3D glasses under my normal glasses, which improved the picture slightly (for some reason) but my glasses kept falling off.

So what are you supposed to do if you wear glasses and want to watch a 3D thingy?

lil lexie, you need the Colorcode 3D glasses (blue and yellow/brown) available free from Sainsburys or off the net....places like eBay have them.

Remember though that this 3D ColorCode week is a bit of fun and in no way reflects the current state of 3D technology. This system is comparable to the older inferior anaglyph 3D method thats been in use for many years (the same type that we get in DVD releases)....true Stereoscopic 3D that you see in the Cinema or with Shutter Glasses etc is the best method with no colour loss and little loss in brightness. This is purely a bit of fun from Channel 4 I'd say.
Having said that, they may release some of the material at their YouTube page and then we will get true side by side source material to view in whichever method we want....I watch a lot of YouTube 3D material on my Infocus X1 Projector using shutter glasses and it looks great....even at the native resolution of 800 x 600, it stool looks great.

Four programmes? You've miscounted then. The glasses themselves mention a countdown programme.
Quote:
you literally won't be able to miss our countdown of TV's greatest 3D moments
So adding what gae41 already mentioned, that's at least five programmes.

Greatest 3D Moments? I wonder if it will include that episode of Eastenders from back in the days when Tomorrows World was still on air, that they did a 3D experiment with, but it was well weird because the camera had to keep moving, like moving along the other side of market stalls from where the actors were and so on.

For the real 3D experience you will need a special 3D TV and polorised glasses, but this is just a bit of fun.

AH!! I didn't know there were different ones for the Chuck episode. I've had it on my hardrive since it aired, and I tried to watch it a couple of days ago using the Sainsbury's glasses. I had to give up after ten minutes due to develping an awful headache.

They did different ones as you had more colour in the show instead of just red and blue.

So are the chuck ones ok or am I going to sainsburys?
