John and Edward "Still Virgins"

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/xfactor/...l-virgins.html

What does this article have to do with them taking part in the show?

They don't question anyone else! Lucy is 18 is she not? Don't see them writing stupid articles like this about her or even Lloyd?

I am not their biggest fan's but when articles like this come out you must feel a tad sorry for them. As it embarassing

Now that the Sun has finally stopped referring to Susan Boyle as a "Scottish virgin" every time they mention her...

Irish virgins John and Edward Grimes, 18....

They're 18. Aren't most people virgins still at 18? Or am I just really behind?

That's a sad view really. They're only 18. "So you haven't jumped into bed with some tart as soon as you can?" Maybe they should be applauded.

Also once again it's a quote that has probably been made up by a tabloid anyway.

It can range from any age when you lose your virginity and it's legal in UK obviously 16. But I don't see what's wrong with them still being virgins, I just find it morally wrong that it needs to be a newspaper article!

Wow, really scraping the barrel now!

That really HAS got nothing to do with anything.

It's not a big deal at all! Most of my friends are virgins and we're all 18/19. And yes, they're pretty!

The legal age here is 17.

18 is not too old to be a virgin. Total non-story.

It's hardly a sad view. All the backlash they have received make me want to vote for them to keep them in, to purely annoy simon cowell

The age of consent in ROI is 17 as well as opposed to 16 here. So given they've only just celebrated their 18th birthday I really can't see what the fuss is about!

John & Edward 'are still virgins'
Wednesday, November 4 2009, 16:22 GMT

By Daniel Kilkelly, Entertainment Reporter

ITV
X Factor twins John and Edward are still virgins, a report has claimed today.

The 18-year-old brothers have only ever had one girlfriend between them because they prefer to concentrate on their unique sense of style and dreams of stardom, according to the Daily Star.

part of the story, I read it and thought what they shared on girlfriend.. til I read further down, what a load of old crapp the Daily Star prints, so what, does it matter whether they are or whether they are not. Nit spreaders now virgins can the papers not find something more interesting than this to report.

I agree- immaterial whether it is true or not- this really is gutter press journalism

And as I stated in another thread- highly doubtful that daily star spoke to anyone about the twins- even if they did- how is this local a credible expert of someone else's love life

Comment on their singing if you want- but this has nothing to do with the X factor- 'still virgins at 18- when the legal age in Ireland is 17' -

wow- really resonsible journalism there Daily Star

Yes and the twins being virgins really is extremely important... I don't know why papers have to print such moronic 'information'. But then, that's why I stay away from such shit newspapers.

I can't see what the fuss is about at any appropriate age, 18 or 40, it's that person's business and no one elses.

This bit made me laugh:

"The 18-year-old brothers have only ever had one girlfriend between them."

i know they're close but that's a bit much

(oops that's been said already)

Who the hell cares? Not every teenage boy is at like a dog with two dicks. I am a 32 year old woman and I lost my virginity when I was 18 to my boyfriend who was a few months younger and he was also a virgin. These boys seem really likeable to me despite the press. I don't care if they win or not; they do seem like they are having the time of their lives and good on them.

Maybe they took this story as they cannot find any dirt on them, no ex girlfriends to say nasty things about them... god as if we want any of it in the press, gutter news again and once again from the worst newspaper on the planet, well one of them.

This article is ridiculous, especially considering the legal age in Ireland is 17 and they've only just turned 18.
