The end of the "Doctor's Daughter", and how it could relate to the series final...
I'm not saying that I'm expecting Jenny to come back (although who knows?) but who remembers the scene when the Doctor points a gun to the solider's head? For a second the viewer thinks that he's going to shoot the man in revenge.
That would have been SUCH a change in Tennant's character. We're often being told the Doctor acts out of character in his final episodes due to his impending doom... do we think he'll shoot the head off some baddie too? (Imagine a parallel scene from the Doctor's Daughter were he shoots the solider.) Thoughts? Would anyone like this to happen? It'd make for a rather dark scene. Not that darkness equals good, but for Tennant's final we know we're gonna get some mood. xx |

There are parallel scenes and visual metaphors throughout Series 4 that give clues to the Stolen Earth / Journey's End finale. Such as a theme in every episode was aliens recreating themselves through use of humankind - a clue to the Doctor clone and DoctorDonna. A kidnap or capture in every episode - the stolen earth.
The scene with the gun to the head may have had a parallel with the Doctor clone wrecking final vengance on the Daleks which the Doctor then isolates his clone for. The Doctor's Daughter was very much a remake of the classic Tom Baker story Destiny of the Daleks where Daleks and rival Movollean robots both dug to find Davros. Check out and compare the plot twists which altogether gave a clue to Davros's return. One metaphor throughout Series 4 I never really resolved was the predominence of people slapping big buttons to take their own life to save others. But you could well still be right. Review the Midnight episode as some people (me included) think it has a lot to say about the Specials. and one final clue I've noticed in the SJA wedding episode. The numbers of the time 3.23pm - I'm sure 323 is a number clue to a plot twist in The End of Time. Indulge me, there's another series that uses numbers in the same way. I'll put my theory as a spoiler
