Change Account Holder

Hi. The situation is that the Account Holder has moved out, and now we need to change it over to me. The only problem being is that we are half way through a 12 month contract. So is there anything I can do?

I know its not possible to change the name on the account, but what do they expect you to do when this sort of thing happens?

Thanks.

Easy pretend or get someone to pretend to be the account holder.

Names can't change on the account unless under certain circumstances, i.e account holder deceased.

All they can do is change bank details so the money comes out of your account but will still be in account holders name, set up a password so you can make changes with your package, the only thing a non-account holder can't do is cancel the account.

Hope this helps

As far as I am aware the only time that a name on account changes is if the account holder is deceased and someone in the household would like the sky to continue.

Names being changed when getting married/divorced tend not to change on the account.
If I was OP I would tell the person who moved out to take the sky with them and open a new account under their own name.

You can write in to have this changed, as long as you have proof. The same applies for surname changes (marriage, divorce etc).
