She has a great personality and very pretty but...

Does she get on your nerves,,not that she's getting on mine (yet )..anyway i think she's much better than that Fern..

i like her but she IS NOT better than fern, fern was, as phillip said - irreplaceable! although fern did turn a little sour towards the end, i always thought phil and fern worked so well together, and there 'funny moments' still give me hysterics to this day

I like Holly, it's Phil I have the problem with. Too smug for my liking, so in that respect he worked better with Fern as she was even more smug, for what reason I am yet to understand.

Have to agree with you about Phil, he's become so big headed now and thinks he's funny. Holly is ok, but when they have serious interviews she sits there not having much to say or contribute, she's much more comfortable on the xtra factor.

I found Holly Willoughby instantly irritating when I first saw her on Dancing on Ice. All she seemed able to do was a simpering little smile and thrusting her bust out. She was a bit better on Xtra Factor, but I still can't find it in me to like her.
Phil and Fern were brilliant together - I loved them.

I think she is turning out to be brilliant on This Morning - wasn't sure at all when I heard she was going to be doing it - she's always seemed a bit plastic and phoney on Dancing on Ice - but I have to say - she seems like a really warm, likeable, funny, down to earth person when you watch her on TM....

Holly seems like a lovely person, but is not right for the job. She doesn't seem to be well informed enough for a show that has an element of - albeit 'soft' - current affairs, nor does she have enough life experience to empathise with many of the human interest stories. Consequently she comes across as more of a sidekick to Phil than a co-presenter. With Fern it was much more a partnership of equals.

I think that Holly maybe got the job 5 or so years too soon.

I agree that there is some work to be done on her interviewing skills - but I don't think it will take much time for her to master that... and everything else about her on the show I am enjoying...

.....Probably why Phillip chose Holly to replace Fern, because he is undoubtedly seen as the 'No.1 presenter' now, in terms of both status and experience.

Fern was very much Phil's equal, although both became horribly smug in the latter months of their partnership.

Holly seems like a decent person but she is very lightweight; fine for frivolous X Factor gossip but awkward at times when it comes to serious interviews.

She is only 28 as opposed to Fern's 52! She is excellent for magazine TV-after all, it isn't Newsnight!!

Change of program for a minute, does anyone else think Holly should get to go Phil's job sometimes on DOI?
He always gets to talk to the skaters when they come off the ice, and all she gets to do is stand next to the judges and say 'So what did you think ...'

I think they should take turns.

Back to This Morning, I like Holly, even before she had the job i thought she would be good, I think Holly and Phil work well together just like phil and Fern did.

I think Kate Thornton would work well with Phil. She seemed really in control the other day when she did it with Peter Andre and had him on a leash making sure he didn't put his foot in it.

I like HW but think she is definitely out of her depth on This Morning.

I think the show needs someone a little older, wiser and more experienced.

I agree about the sidekick aspect. That is startlingly obvious everytime I watch. Phil is clearly running the show now. Like you say, back with Phil and Fern they were both equals in the partnership but it's no longer the way with Holly.

Must say that I used to watch This Morning with Richard & Judy - loved it! When Colleen and twiggy started doing it - switched off ! When Fern and Phil got together - I was hooked! They were the dream team in my opinion. I loved their banter, their cock-ups, everything. It's not the same anymore - I watch ITV 3 or whatever now!
(I do work, by the way, I'm talking about my days off!).
Nothing against Holly either - I just preferred Fern!
