Anyone seen any pics yet of Glynis barber as glenda on set yet or leaving the bbc studios?

i cant wait to see what Glenda is going to look like

it will be interesting to see how they make her look because Glynis Barber is only in her early 50s (and doesn't even look that) whereas Barbara Windsor and Larry Lamb (Peggy and Archie) are in the late 60s and early 70s. although they did the same thing years ago with Kathy who looked no way old enough to be Ian's mother yet they had such a great chemistry together you really believed they were mother and son.

I thought DS said Jill Gascoigne was going to play Glenda, or did I imagine that? She's probably more the right age but then again Glynis Barber is a bit easier on the eye.

Jill Gascoigne quit the role after just one day of filming so it was then recast to Glynis Barber

we have only just seen spoiler shots of Ronnie trying to find her mum so give it a few weeks and we will see first pics I reckon.

also agree chemistry is important. Maybe Jill never had any with Sam and Rita. I mean even tho they hate him you can tell Archie is their dad.

Think it was more, they wanted her long term, and the one cast before didn't want to do it long term.

ahh thanks for that

i was just wondering how long she would be in it for. i thought it would just maybe be a guest stint but im glad she sticking around. Ronnie could really do with having her mum around and Roxy needs a bit of screen time as shes had nothing to do since Sean left.

Maybe Glenda could buy the Vic and become the new landlady replacing Peggy. but then again i think id like to see a different family in the Vic now
