Hugh Grant - my films make me suicidal
They make me feel suicidal too. 'Love Actually' make me feel completely nauseous all the way through.
How do you feel about Hugh? I find him completely obnoxious, way too high and mighty. He seems to have a very inflated ego and a very small talent. I like the way Hugh claims he couldn't stick life in the theatre as it would be too boring for him!! who would employ such a wooden actor? I'm amazed that this man has managed to sustain any career at all, with his awful attitude and stuck up ways

Just saw the same article. This man makes me sick! He's been complaining for years about how much he hates acting. Why doesn't he a) Do something about getting a different career and stop bleating on about acting, or b) just accept he's passable as an actor, but damn lucky to be earning a really good lifestyle from it.

Hugh Grant plays only one role in every film - Hugh Grant.
He makes me suicidal too, whenever I catch him bumbling, stammering and being ridiculously over-English in any airheaded silly film he's in. |

Why does he constantly go on about how he hates acting and the crappy films he chooses to be in? Does he want sympathy because he certainly hasn't got any from me.
Surely there are many other jobs he could do that would keep him occupied, satisfied and, more importantly, too busy to keep wittering on about his apparently valueless life. |

Acting and Hugh Grant in the same sentence does not equate.

I think this is the most accurate statement the buffooning Mr Grant has ever said.
Many folk would share similar sentiments. He's not really an 'actor' anyway; it's just 'bumbling Hugh Grant as bumbling Hugh Grant' in every single film.

Yep - they have that effect on me too - he and his ex-girlfriend are 2 of the luckiest people around imo - completely talentless and yet always in demand.
Plus, Hugh seems a right pompous ass in real life - I can't take to him at all. |

Why doesn't he go off and devote his life to quiet contemplation and charitable works helping those worse off than him. That might give him more satisfaction in his obviously sad and empty life.

Hugh Grant has always been one of those toffish, whingeing types - bleating about how 'tough' it is making a few stereotypical British romcoms and getting paid handsomely for it.
He possesses neither talent, charisma nor humility. |

The most interesting thing about this idiot is being done for getting a BJ off Divine Brown. He's horrible, smug and talentless.

I've always thought that About A Boy showed him at his most real. Not the developing relationship with the boy, or the ending, just the people-free empty life he led at the beginning. Cold, emotionless, disconnected.
He's had his moment. Secretly, I think he'd love to be much bigger than he is but knows he doesn't have the acting chops so acts as if it's all a terrible drudgery and a bore. |

I quite like him. To be perfectly honest his films make me feel quite the opposite although I haven't seen any of the American ones.

The only american film of his I have seen was '9 months' and it was very difficult trying to force myself to watch it to the end. It was really awful and ill conceived!!!

The only film I really liked him in was Sense and Sensibility, as imo it was a genuine piece of good acting, although he was playing the bumbling type he always does.
Otherwise he's a stuck up prat, who kicks in the teeth the industry who made him a lot of money, despite his inability to act in 90% of the films he makes. If he hates it so much, get to f**k out of the business and shut up. |

Oh come on, that's really not being very fair - to brick walls. Some of them are really interesting for example those with Banky's on them and some have even had major historical importance, such as the Berlin Wall.
Hugh Grant is far less charismatic than that. |

All brick walls across the globe are feeling incredibly offended at this moment.......being compared unfavourably to Hugh Grant's acting 'skills' is just about as bad as it gets.

Must be tough being Hugh Grant. Wakes up in the morning, pops along to the film set and acts as himself for a living.
