I think Pete is right. Don't get me wrong....X Factor is great entertainment, but it's a circus with the judges taking centre stage and not the talent.
As a talent show, American Idol, is far better. |

Petes dead right, and remember he walked off Pop Idol cos the producers made him put Michelle McManus over which pretty much shows who really makes the decisions in these shows.

He's hit the nail on t'head there Mr Waterman.
It was always about the "judges", even down to little details such as placing the judges photo alongside the phone number for the contestant. Why would the public want to know whose act they're voting for when surely they're meant to be voting on the contestant's performance? |

Maybe it's my memory but didn't he 'walk off' after Michelle McManus was voted winner by the public? Surely if he was making a principled stand he should have walked a long time before that?
