Aww that's a shame, we've seen her grow up over the years! Surely the most obvious thing would be to send her off to College.

So, out of the original cast, there's now just Frank, Karen, Carl and Liam, I think.

I agree, very sad that she's leaving. Debbie's always been one of my fav Shameless Characters. Lets hope she can do a James McAvoy turn around.

That's a pity.

It's my favourite show on television but you have to wonder what it is about it that prevents it from keeping hold of most of it's long-term characters.

You see other shows on TV with a harsher filming schedule and longer series runs (all year long in some cases) and the majority of the 'focal-cast' stay at it for years and years and years.

It does make you wonder why Shameless does shed regulars so often.

I think James Mcavoy,Maxine Peake,Anne-Marie Duff etc,have done pretty alright for themselves thus far,so, good luck to Rebecca,I'm sure she'll do well too.

All the well known characters that have left have gone on to bigger and better things....or has McEvoy, Duff, Peake, Kelly and even Latham's recent appearences in films and or top drama escaped you ? Add to that Maggie O'Neil who never stays in series very long and I dont really know who you are referring to !
