The Schoolboy Who Sailed The World

Great documentary. It's amazing how *anyone* can do what he did.. young or old. To be alone in the middle of the oceans in a boat.. amazing. And to do it at such a young age. Incredible. Pretty jealous actually.

Shame his GF dumped him half way around the world! No patience these young-ens. But I suppose it was always going to be difficult for them.

Don't get me wrong, much admiration for his abilities etc.

I just got overly irritate with the way he spoke. The way he turned each sentence up at the end. It wasn't as though they were full sentences (though that in itself isn't a gripe - he had plenty of other things to think about that some witty monologue) - they seemed to come in batches of 3 or 4 words.

Other than that, it was a nice programme - loved towards the end with the dolphins

Yes, he did have a very irritating quality - a lot of the vid diary seem contrived and made fully in the knowledge it would make good telly. His happy clappy parents drove me to distraction. His manner of speaking was very annoying.

However, there is absolutely no denying that he has balls of steel, is incredibly mature for such a young age, and is as fit as f*** !!
