Lie To Me : PQ issues

Tonights Lie To Me appears to be plagued by PQ issues - picture going blocky in lots of places. Broadcast Issue or box screwing up?

Do you mean like the pictures had a posterised effect (like cartoony almost), someone mentioned this in a thread earlier this week. It happened to me too, about 2-3 times overall though in small bursts.

Had me worried its the box (Amstrad), I hope not! I just watched the recordings of both Modern Family and they were fine, just Lie to Me with the problems.

Another thing is as soon as this happened, I have lost all EPG data for today so no channels showing programme data for the day! Could this be related?

i had this on my recording of lie to me from last night, the picture went fuzzy like on recordings of knight rider on scifi hd

i too have amstrad hd receiver with a proper av hard disc.

so i wonder why it happened as sky1 hd recordings have been fine uptil yesterday.

If this continues to happen then this could be a problem, I'm hoping this was just a one off! I don't watch Knight Rider on Scifi Hd so wouldnt know but I'm gonna say it. There's no beating the Hoff!

Just watched it and had exactly the same problem! Only had it on Sci-Fi HD before so this is a bit worrying. There is an ongoing 'Sci-Fi HD Corruption' thread that i've posted on and have mentioned whether its something to do with the Amstrad box i've got. This has happened on a few Sci-Fi HD programs (Knight Rider, My Own Worst Enemy & Warehouse 13), but like i said this is the first time i've noticed this on any other channel.

I watched Lie to me from the planner...

About half way through, there was a bit of picture disruption, but believe it or not, Tim Roth himself stepped out of my TV into my lounge!

I made him a cup of tea, and we enjoyed a nice long chat! He signed autographs for my family and friends before stepping back into the tv, and continuing the show!

It was really great, and totally true... Honest!!!

WELL... YOU DID SAY " LIE TO ME " LOL

if u want to talk about PQ issues, law and order. the PQ on that is awful. Very frosty looking which for hd is ridiculous.

Law & Order is quite grainy in some scenes which must be intentional as other scenes are spot on.

Just watched Lie to me from the recording on an amstrad, and yes the pic quality throughout was poor but then there were about 3 instances of the picture break up you get with a codec problem.
Each one several seconds of incremental frames making the picture worse until a full frame finally clears it. Never seen this sort of break up due to weather so might be another Sky compatibility issue between the broadcast and different box types.
Not a very premium service, and I still have the new EPG to look forward to

It's doing it again tonight, would be interested to know if it does it for an Amstrad owner with the new EPG.
