TV Link working but SLOW - Sky+ HD

So I can watch Sky in my bedroom i've run some aerial cable through the wall from my Amstrad Sky HD box to the bedroom. RF power is on, TV Link light is on, and it works, but it's sooo slow, like 5-10 secs before the box responds after pressing the button. The cable doesn't go through a booster, it's literally straight through the wall. What could the problem be?!?

I assume that you have tried rebooting the box?
If not, do it! I've been using a magic eye for several years on an original 04 Thomson box. It's always worked fine, and is just as fast as using the remote directly to the box.
If rebooting makes no difference, is it possible that something in your bedroom is interfering with the infra-red signal? Try putting the remote right up to the magic eye sensor. If that is better, that's probably the problem.
