Classic Doctor Who on MSN Video

I recommend that all Tartrazine-and-Tennant fuelled eight year olds should be made to watch The Web Planet.

Well, my friend spotted this (who hasn't seen any Classic Who), watched the first episode of The Web Planet, and was not impressed. I said it was "totally different" to today's version...and he concurred:

"Different?! It took ten minutes for them to open the f***ing door!"

I hope they put on some better episodes soon.

It's a rather eccentric choice for first story to a new audience. Ties in rather nicely with The Keys of Marinus on DVD though ...

Some really nice ideas and a grand sense of scale, but not one for beginners. In fact, I've been a fan for 30yrs (yikes) and I wouldn't choose to watch The Web Planet.
