Sky Hd order

Hi all just rang to order HD but was told got to wait for an invite before i can order? anyone else had this

What they said is not correct.

Due to high demand the current process is that you start your order for HD and get put in a queue. You will then be contacted in due course to complete your order and book an install date. The waiting time varies from area to area and depends on the availability of hardware and installers in your area - it could be a little as a day or 2 - or as long as 3 months. If you are happy to tell the forum where you are, others who have recent installs may be able to tell you how long they had to wait which will give you an idea.

I suspect that the CS rep has just explained the process very badly, but you might want to call up again and make sure that they have actually logged your order into the queue.

Joey_Lpool just to let you know I may have a spare voucher at home for the free hd and install if there are any left (I think it said there was only 6000 boxes to give away) i will pm you the details if you would like when i get home at lunch if that will help.

thanks mach2001 already a customer with a sky+ box so i dont know if the offer will apply, but michael37 am in liverpool

I've got it just didnt use it as when i read the forums it sounded like new customers only

Looking at the vouchers I think they are limiting the available boxes for existing customers to 6000 as the very first term is "limited offer of 6000 Sky+HD boxes for existing customers"

It's a shame this offer wasn't on last month as thats when I got my HD installed. Got a pretty good deal anyway because of digital switch over so it only cost me £30 installation

if you subscribe to movies for a year and just keep subscribing to em if you do already,then you get a free hd box and just £30 install.turnaround is very quick,took me a week from registering to install including a weekend

i used online ordering to order mine today went through till the end delivery and install this wed then said i would need to ring customer services to check it had went through when i called found out it hadnt gone through but lady put it through there and then on the phone and install is happening on thursday and because im taking another multiroom its only costing me 15quid
