Car Booty - Prog description that defies belief
Word for word from Sky Info button - I almost wet meself and then just sat there in disbelief that this was on BBC1 for 45 minutes!
![]() "Lorne Spicer and the team visit Atherton, Manchester where the Eckersley family hopes to raise 500 pounds to fund a balcony cabin on their upcoming cruise" Jesus h Christ. Forty five minutes and TWO presenters ![]() ![]() I suppose if you just see it as a joke then it's fine but i'm not sure it's meant to be. |

That dress that Spicerack was wearing at the beginning of the show defied belief too.

Indeed
![]() I just need to put the programme in context I suppose. People who like boot fairs like boot fairs and that's it and I have to say I cannot completely ridicule the programme just because of the miniscule amounts of money involved..it was more the two presenters, length of programme and their very apt "dream" of a balcony

I didn't watch this, but where did you get the impression there were 2 presenters from the sky info?

I'm not sure a 'wait please' would work; I've known dealers that would start unloading your stuff before the car has stopped.

Did this bunch of losers raise the cash or did they have to slum it in the lifeboat then?

I don't believe that these people, usually a family of professionals living in a huge privately owned house crammed with antiques and collectibles, can't raise a few hundred quid without selling off the family silver!
