EastEnders set to clash with Corrie and Emmerdale on 26th November!

EastEnders is on for one hour on Thursday 26th November, as this is the day of
spoiler:
Lucas and Denise's wedding and also the episode where Lucas murders Owen
and DS said that this will be a one hour long episode.

however itv have released the spoilers for week 48 on http://www.itv.com/presscentre and because of i'm a celebrity they have Emmerdale on 7.00-8.00 and then Corrie 8.00-8.30. so if the BBC don't move to a different time slot for EE on 26th and just stick with the 7.30 slot then it will clash with Emmerdale from 7.30-8.00 and then Corrie from 8.00-8.30.

Why so? Emmerdale clashed with EE for over a year, and we al;l survived.

I think EE is strong enough TO MATCH UP!

spoiler:
It's also the episode where Christian tells Syed he loves him.

So Owen gets killed on that day as well. Will be an action-packed ep what with the wedding too.

Can't Emmerdale be 6:30 to 7:30 and Corrie 8:30-9:00?

Schedules for that day:

Thursday 26th November
BBC One
19:00 - The One Show
19:30 - EastEnders *one hour special
20:30 - ???
21:00 - Gavin and Stacey
21:30 - ??? (QI)

ITV1
19:00 - Emmerdale *one hour special
20:00 - Coronation Street
20:30 - I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

ITV could swap Emmerdale and Coronation Street, but I really cannot see them doing that. They can't move I'm A Celebrity, because its live from Australia - move it any earlier and you're looking at a 4am start for Ant and Dec.

BBC will have to move EastEnders otherwise their 'gentlemen agreement' is broken.

Can't they cancel ITV news and put Emmerdale 6:00pm and Corrie 7:00pm?

They can't 'cancel' the News. What is better for ITV - Emmerdale @ 6pm or Emmerdale @ 7pm?

The schedules will be finalised before Monday and will go out in the TV magazines in a week or two.

Grrr! Soaps are all going to have a fight. I reckon this hour special of EastEnders is only going to get over 9 Million. The first half of Peggy's wedding had over 9 Million because of the clash with Emmerdale, the second half (accual reveal and death) had over 11 Million.

Not happy about the clash.

Would it be too late for EE to go to 8:30 or can't Im a Celebrity just start at 9pm so ITV can do the normal scedule (exept Emmerdale should start at 6:30pm) ?

Will be watching EastEnders and will catch up with the other two later on. I think EE may end up taking a bit of a hit (which is a shame considering the episode it's going to be) due to Corrie having a comfortable lead-in with Emmerdale.

It'll be the first time EE and Corrie have clashed since 2001 - EE came out on top last time so it'll be interesting to see what happens this time.

What 'gentleman's agreement? ITV scheduled the hour long Emmerdale episode for a year against EE!

I'm not on about Emmerdale here - I think a 'gentleman's agreement exists regarding EastEnders and Coronation Street though.

TBH I think the only way this could work is if EE is moved or if Corrie is moved to the previous day and Emmers is perhaps cancelled and given an extra slot the next week.

Then Emmerdale wouldn't be the right order.

For gawds sake have you not heard of the new fangled way of watching both shows - its called recording one and watching the other, christ how sad getting one's panties in a twist over such a trivial issue.

I'm sure ITV/BBC will cope for one night with reduced viewing figures. Most people have PVRs, internet access etc, also all the soaps are repeated. So its really not that big a deal.

Yes I, and many others, have, but I still think that it is still a little silly that EE have decided to put this hour episode on a day where there are most obviously two other Soaps on. Personally I think that it would've been easier, whilst still awkward for Emmers, if EE's hour long episode was on the Tuesday. But only personal opinion.

The only soap I watch is EastEnders, so I'm not remotely bothered about it clashing with Emmerdale and Corrie.

Not completely up on ITV's scheduling, but I do know they recently rearranged their Thursday nights.

I also know that EastEnders have, in the last few years, started to plan their double episodes a little bit better. Rather than tack two episodes together, they stretch one into an hour-long, as per the Danielle reveal earlier in the year.

They were filming this episode 2 months ago, writing it 4 months ago, and probably plannig it 6 months ago.

When did the ITV scheduling change? Had EE planned this hour-long episode already? I'm willing to guess yes - and an hour long wouldn't have clashed with Emmerdale then.

Of couse, I watch neither Corrie or Emmerdale, so it doesn't really bother me.

Can the people who watch all three or two of them not record one of them - or catch one of the (many) repeats?
