This is Hollyoaks we are talking about where any relationship is unlikely to last beyond a few months. Still Cindy is running St Carmel close in the stupidity stakes with her comments on Churchill and Franz Ferdinand.

Mandy & Tony's marriage lasted quite well and would have carried on if SJD had not decided to leave.

That was an unlikely couple that worked because of the chemistry between Nick and Sarah.

Tony & Mandy never worked well as they were a couple who gravitated towards one another. You knew full well with Mandy's track record It was never going to work out with Tony.

Is it really supposed to be, though? I don't think we're supposed to be taking the idea of them as a proper couple seriously at all. I think it's fair to say it's building up to something?

I would probably take it as an insult to my intelligence if I was being asked to believe that Cindy's totally genuine about it but I kind of like what's going on now, the 'married couple' thing kind of suits them.

Actually Tony & Mandy was one of Hollyoaks longest running relationships. (Not saying much I know).

Also apart from Tony’s one slip with Ruth and Mandy getting her revenge by having sex with Ben they were pretty loyal to each other. Especially once they were Married.

All their problems were not due to constant bed hopping. This made a refreshing change.

Which worked on screen in a very odd couple sort of way. This was down to the chemistry between Sarah and Nick. They have known each other a long time and they like and trust each other.

Mandy though was tempted by Dom. But Tony & Mandy never came across as realistic, rather being together as they had no one else. You knew Mandy was a disaster waiting to happen relationsip wise, and I suspect Tony was more with Mandy because Lewis asked him to look after her.

I never really understood Tony and Cindy getting together, admittedly I've been zoning in and out of Hollyoaks lately and have often missed several episodes at a time.

I've always hoped that Jacqui and Tony would get back together though.

Yes but that thing with Dom only happened because Grace died and Sarah was leaving. Who knows what would have happened if Sarah had stayed.

Although Brian Kirkwood would probably have turned her into a psychopathic lesbian murderer and she would have killed Sarah instead of Lydia.

Isn't Cindy still supposed to be scamming him though I thought when she said "suckers" at then end of the Laters proved she hadn't really changed.

that's what i was thinking... it's like the writers have forgotten? Unless she was meaning it in a way that she's made them believe she wants tony when all she wants is his cash but to still stay with him? :-/ i think it will be building up to something? I am actually taking to them being a couple now

Even if Sarah Jayne Dunn didn't leave you could see Tony and her never working out long term as a couple. You only have to look at her other relationships for that. She got together with Adam Morgan and look what happened there. Luke came back and she didn't waste time with him.

Then there was her relationship with Ella's father that didn't work out either.

Tony would have had to totally change as well, as it's well known he cheats and is weak is someone tries it on with him.

Tony and Mandy were more a couple who drifted together out of mutual support than real true love from the start.

With Cindy, then Tony is being a prat, as Cindy is obviously weak and will end up cheating on him with Darren once the gloss has worn off being married.

Well, I think Darren and Cindy will get back together soon, and this could trigger it.

spoiler:
He saves Holly's life.

I hope not - Jacqui is not his type (yes, I know he goes for anything with a pulse, but with his pretensions about his restaurant I doubt if he'd be attracted to such a chav).

You much very dirty water has gone under that bridge - if I were Tony I would not be able to forgive her for the lies about Max, the damage it did to Dom and Tina, her reporting him to the police about Theresa.

No matter how much pole-dancing she does, could anyone really forgive and forget all that?

Still, not as bad as what Cindy has planned with Darren...

That's what I was thinking, he forgave Cindy and went on to marry her.

I know Jacqui and Tony have a lot of history, but I still thought they worked kinda well as a couple. Not as well as Mandy and Tony, but I still enjoyed their time together on screen.

I don't like the Cindy and Tony pairing, I hope the writers do decide to make Cindy con Tony of his money or something and he ends up broke. They are just such an unlikely couple.

Lets not forget when she bought that bloke back and shagged him in Tonys bed whilst him and Dom were in the living room. She's lovely!

I really don't want them to get back together. she was perfectly happy to lie to him and pretend Max was his and she was such a bitch to Russ and Tina, she's horrible.

She did that to get back at Tony for sleeping with Mercy and getting her pregnant. Not saying im condoning what she did but she was provoked.

I like Tony and Jackie, I have to admit I was a bit gutted when they broke up and when he turned Jackie down at the church when he was marrying Cindy.
